If LSU wins out, they will be sitting at #1 in the final poll.

Not if Alabama is 4. They don’t want LSU vs Alabama in the first game. That’s why we are 2nd now. This thing is rigged.

Wow. They actually went there and confirmed the thoughts we all have. The committee is setting up Alabama getting in. The CFP is all about $$$. Next 2 weeks will be very interesting on how it plays out. But if Bama gets in over two Power 5 conference champs with same record, blow this thing up and start over.

Either I'm Ryan Clark, or he agrees with me:

My original point was that the committee had to move LSU to #2 this week just in case Bama sneaks in. If LSU is #1 all the way until the final poll, they can't move them to #2 after a win over #4 Georgia. They can't put Bama #3. So in order to avoid LSU vs Bama in the semis, then LSU has to be #2 this week.

I think if 2 power 5 champions don’t get in but a 1 loss stay at home, cupcake schedule Alabama does, then tv ratings will tank, college presidents will complain and it will end this CFP ridiculousness just like the mulligan game did to the bs BCS.

This is where my line of thinking is as well. I'm surprised the other conferences aren't screaming about the possibility of Bama getting back into it.

It is obvious the committee is trying to avoid an all SEC CFP championship final...

They can do this without dropping LSU. Just don’t let Bama backdoor into the playoff.

Send Bama a message that they haven’t earned it.

Hopefully Bama gets in, Michigan beats OSU and Clemson jumps LSU.

We’d get cupcake Bama in the Semis and winner of Clemson-OSU in finals.

Finebaum said with a straight face that the committee uses the metric that if you don’t win your conference championship and your record is the same as a title winner, you must be clearly better than the champion to make it into the playoffs, and he says,” I think Alabama is!”

But Bama wouldn’t have the same record as a conference champ, if he’s talking about OU or Utah. They would be 12-1. Bama would be 11-1.

This makes ZERO sense broseph...

If Bama makes the playoffs it will be as #4 seed (not ahead of tOSU or Clemson).

The CERTAIN ways to avoid an all-SEC championship are to exclude Bama all together or have them play LSU in the first round. LSU would have to be #1 for them to play in the first round, and one SEC team will be eliminated for the Champ game. Just think about it a little bit before regurgitating garbage.

The logic you’d have to use to have Ohio state passing LSU would also dictate that Bama is much lower than #5. Its pure bullshite and is done to create social media discussion and arguments (buzz). The system is more corrupt than the pre-BCS system.

And we have a winner...

We have beaten a team ranked 5 spots higher than any team tOSU has beaten. They can’t even agree with their own ranking system.
