People who like money might think otherwise.

NC State is paying Wade LESS than LSU is paying McMahon

Curious? Why would he entertain coming back to a place that fired him at the drop of a hat. We didnt fight for him at all like the rest of the schools who were in the same boat! I would love if he came back to Lsu but that shite will never ever happen.

There are four ACC programs in the state of North Carolina, and NC State will never be one of the top two. LSU will always have an innate advantage in being the only P4 school in the state.

Also the old begging for an ex gf back trope is so tiresome. This is big time athletics involving millions of dollars. You do what you have to to be in the best possible position.

How many idiots on here said "dagnabbit!! We shouldn't be chasing after Sam Leavitt like some desperate high school kid."

bullshite. You do what needs to be done to improve your program.

How many of you pined for Saban and convinced yourselves he was coming back every time we had a coaching change? It almost never happens, but put yourselves through it again if you want.

LSU is an entity...run by people. The PEOPLE than ran LSU at the time fired him. Not "LSU". Those people are now gone and have been replaced (in one position) with a school President who happily employed Wade.

Same thing. The "we" in your statement are no longer in charge at LSU. The fans and donors did not want the change.

When LSU had its first coaching change following Saban's departure (2016) Saban had been at Alabama for a decade, winning 4 national championships, an in the midst of heading towards another NC game while LSU was searching for a coach. There were no set of circumstances where Saban was going to leave Alabama at that time to take the LSU job, or any job.

Here, Wade is in year ONE at NC State following 7 of 8 years living/working in the state of Louisiana. He's currently being paid LESS than what LSU is paying their HC.

The two situations aren't even remotely comparable

That wasn't the case when Wade was the coach and to an extent Johnny Jones. This program hasn't had a winning conference record in five years, the fans will come back when the wins come back.

You could have said the same thing about the women's program just a few years ago. Now their players are household names and they are selling out the PMAC, making me late for shite downtown on a Sunday.

It's not a very complex formula. Winning = interest. That's ALWAYS been the case. And it can happen very quickly.

I dont know a single person in real life that can name any players on the mens team, let alone the women's team.

yes its true winning fixes everything, but you all know basketball will always be number 3 at lsu no matter what

Don’t know how old you are, but when LSU had a winning basketball program, the Deaf Dome was rocking.

It’s a shame where LSU basketball is at as a program right now.
