-Western Kentucky replaces Southern Miss on 2011 schedule.
-still trying to finalize 2011 schedule

LSU would rather have 1500 extra visitors in the southeastern lower bowl than 1500 LSU fans unwilling to pay the extra taf fee of moving from the upper deck to the lower bowl.

I think LSU could find season ticket holders in the upper decks willing to pay for those south endzone seats. It's not like they are making a fee--other than the cost of the ticket-- off of those buying visitor's tickets anyway.

You would think that would be the case, but that is what Verge just said on Buddy's show. He said they could not find enough fans in the east upper willing to foot the extra cost for the lower seats. I call BS myself.

was also able to hear some of interview while washing car... did hear him say the texas schools have always been tentative about scheduling us bc of the conflict w/ recruiting battles

oh, i forgot, he also said that news reports saying "LSU likely to open 2011 season in Dallas" are premature.

I'm pretty sure there is some SEC rule that guarantees the visiting team gets so many tickets in the main/lower bowl. I could have swore I heard one of our ADs say that before.

I don't doubt that there is a minimum number of tickets that LSU has to give visitors, but I'm not sure that a certain percentage has to be in the lower bowl. Anyone who has ever been to an SEC road game can attest to the fact that few, if any, other SEC schools give visitors the same number of seats in the lower level that LSU does.
