I honestly can’t tell if you’re serious about this or just trying to win an argument.

If you honestly think this plays in as a deciding factor year in and year out, you’re just wrong. But congrats finding like 2 examples.

It swayed a couple guys because it was the flashy new thing. MS isn’t swaying multiple guys a year from lsu because of their stadium lol

They had the number 2 class just last year. It still works.

And lsu was #1 lol

So much for that huge recruiting advantage over lsu

Maybe states 9-21 conference record will help them get to #1 next year?

I’d rather be 9-21 after a championship than no championships in 13 years.

If you don’t think facilities matter, you’re going against the opinion of every single SEC coach from every single major sport in the last 20 years plus. You’re welcome to have that opinion but it’s kind laughable to go against all those people who are directly impacted by what their facilities can and can’t offer.

Player and coaches facilities absolutely matter. Nobody is arguing against that.

Your enjoyment at a game or your idea that “I don’t like how this stadium looks” has zero bearing on players and coaches.

There’s not one recruit out there that says “damn, I really like this school and program, but I just can’t commit because of those bleachers”

ESPECIALLY anybody that’s considering lsu

I literally sent you a quote from a recruiting coordinator that disagrees. And he quoted player responses too.

Simplifying it to something that was never argued or said is sad. I already said there’s nuance.

And we couldn’t fill up the stadium once this year to watch them. I wonder why.

They paid for those nice player facilities everyone has said is so crucial to getting players like Crews and Skenes.

it was breaking even when pokey was here and the sport is more popular now. it can make some money

It never came close to breaking even.

Yes, it’s more popular now than it ever was; yet last year we lost over 6 million dollars in WBB.[

By major plans I mean five million dollars or more in stadium improvements. If you know of one please share. People are interested.

I just went and actually looked at the article. OF COURSE the recruiting coordinator at MS is going to say his field is the best and swaying recruits lol

What coach out there isn’t going to say that lol

Are you retarded? I quoted the entire part that talks about the new field. I highlighted every sentence that says the new stadium is a huge recruiting tool.

I’m not retarded, but what is the State coordinator gonna say? His stadium stinks?? No, he’s like a used car salesman. He’s gonna pump it up as something special.

We are not saying the stadium is no factor, but there are other factors far more important. Tradition, coaching, conference, training facilities, locker room, and NIL all rank higher.

I’m baffled that he is using this as his big argument lol

“Someone affiliated with the baseball program, who’s job is to get the best recruits, is talking about how his shiny new toy is awesome and everyone loves it!!!!”

Nah man. We are losing recruits and getting left behind the rest of college baseball world because we have bleachers in our stands.

Just give it up ell, it isn’t possible to have both a great team and a great atmosphere/fan experience. Those fans who don’t show up for games are just whiners. Quite frankly they should be paying triple the cost just for the privilege to watch LSU while sitting in bleachers that look like they’re from a rec park in the 1970’s.

This is all I’ve said couple with the fact that we make money and it should be high up on the list to have the best. Tacky thinks it plays no factor at all.

It’s pretty cool that they keep some of the construction photos in the media guide to remember what it was like during the build
