Today is a bad game. We may truly be a bad team. We aren’t a bad program.
I agree 100%

Dude it doesn’t matter if we have Jeter at SS the way our pitching has been this year.
It kinda does though, if the pitcher induces an easy inning ending ground ball that gets kicked around by your not-Jeter SS, no?

Outscored 40-10 is this football?

Dude it doesn’t matter if we have Jeter at SS the way our pitching has been this year. It was supposed to be our strength and it’s our biggest weakness. If pitching doesn’t turn it around asap we aren’t making a regional.
It isn't infeasible to think this team would have another 3 or 4 SEC wins if we could do things like catch ground balls, catch 3rd strikes, etc.

Do they watch film on the opposing teams pitchers? We make everyone look like all stars.

Seriously? He played in 105 games at South Carolina, had 350 total chances at SS, and made 13 errors. Does that seem like a poor choice for defense at SS?
I'm not just talking about defense. Jay should have been able to get the best overall SS in the portal. Or talk somebody even better into entering the portal. LSU SS is like the Bama QB. And we've seen today that errors is not the best indicator of a defensive SS. He's fricked up 3 plays and has 0 errors. You don't get extra credit for not getting to balls fast enough or not having the arm to throw guys out if you'd made a good throw. He's worse than his fielding %.
But again, that's more on Jay to me than Braswell. He is who he is defensively. (And didn't they move him from short to 3rd because he couldn't' handle it at SC?).

We’re 10th in batting average in SEC games. We’re 11th in ERA. We’re 8th in fielding %.
Nowhere to go but up.
They will learn from it.

I want to know what dirt Neal has on CJJ for him to keep putting him back in. And going to him over Milazzo.
4 weeks ago Jay said that “when Milazzo plays, we win”.
Since then Milazzo has started 3 games behind the plate.

Should be a good game with McNeese mid-week, let's hope we can scrap a win there

We literally just gave up at least 1 run every inning. Even if you credit Braswell with errors today how do you explain the other 6 innings of giving up runs?
Not to mention last week we walked 23 batters vs Arkansas walking 7. I don’t even want to know what that differential was this weekend.
I’m not saying Braswell doesn’t deserve to see the pine, but he is the least of our worries. We are probably at this point averaging close to 8 runs a game in the SEC. You can’t blame that on errors.

Arguing that your SS leading the SEC in errors is disconnected from pitching struggles is weird to me
