Braswell wasn’t particularly heralded at South Carolina. The idea is that he could get a fresh start and see some improvement. My best guess given his background is that they spent so much time and effort concentrating on improving his offensive performance that his defensive skills atrophied. Maybe he would have more success with less pressure at 2B.

Gonna be a lot of second guessing if Johnson comes in and just mows guys down. It’s not every day you keep the highest rated prospect to ever step foot on campus, on the bench.

That's hard to say at this point. He has only been here a few years and inherited guys like Crews who's arguably a generational player.
Most of his success has been in the portal and just recently had a disastrous recruiting class. That's likely what is also tearing this team up right now is that 2022 class. You might have a good argument here he's not the guy we thought he was. I haven't seen an LSU baseball team this bad in I don't know how long. 2011 is the first that comes to mind but this team might actually be worse when it's all said and done.
