Officially, on the school's seal even, it is The Tulane University of Louisiana to this day.

No shite, it is just plain stupid. I went to USL always been a LSU fan though. It's not the state school and never will be they need to just except that. But I don't why LSU fans care so much. LSU beats USL in everything but baseball on a routine basis.

What's really amazing is that for a fan base that don't give a shite about the University of Louisana's Ragin Cajuns, why are there no less than 5 separate posts in regards or relating to the Cajuns. Funny how a university that no one cares about in Baton Rouge sure gets a lot attention. GEAUX CAJUNS!!! GEAUX LOUISIANA!!!

My only issue is branding a school with a far inferior academic program using a statewide name is that it portrays that university as flagship”ish”. There are 3 “tier 1” universities in the state and ull isn’t one of them. I think it reflects poorly on our states secondary education system from an outside perspective.
This is akin to someone changing their first name to Governor and demanding to be treated as if he was the Governor.

...and "Louisiana" is also confusing, as I have seen that refer to Louisiana College, a small school in Pineville.
Whatever, any school that has yet to score a TD in 22 outings vs LSU isn't worth my attention.
