@josephperson: South Carolina officials have reached out to #Panthers about possibility of moving USC-LSU game on Sat. to Charlotte, per a source.
@josephperson: #Panthers recently re-seeded the grass at BoA Stadium, so not sure that playing a game on it would be good.

If they're reaching out to Charlotte and to LSU officials, that means they know they aren't playing it in Columbia.
They just have to find another place.

I'm sure the revenue from the game will allow them to pay for any necessary repairs, and they get to come out of it looking generous.

Well I ran into an LSU Athletic Dept. senior official yesterday around this time and he said it was going to be in Columbia. But that was based on the information available to him from the meeting he just got out of about it.

Seems odd they're just reaching out to all of these people as a contingency plan. Because this isn't a decision that they can just make on Thursday or Friday. They need to make this decision by tomorrow, for logistical reasons.
And can they really know if they'll be able to play a game in Columbia by tomorrow?

Whoever wrote that can't spell very well, and according to him, the time of the game will be changed.
I guess they could change the time of the game because it's an emergency situation, but seems like they'd try to keep it at 11am
