This would just absolutely blow my mind if they decided to have it there. Makes zero sense for either fan base.
the way i look at it is they will have VERY little fans there and not recoup and money for relief efforts having it in jacksonville. they might have more usc fans there than in baton rouge but it will be a game played in a half empty stadium at best. they'd basically be turning down a few million dollars when their city just suffered several hundred million dollars in damage just so they didn't have to play a road game

Jacksonville makes zero sense... it won't happen.

WhoDat in TN

@DellengerAdv Heard Memphis was also being considered as a neutral site. Was that option ruled out or was it a false report?

from what i read yesterday alleva said that moving two teams instead of one wouldn't make any sense.

No link at this point, that is why I put sources. At this point, the only holdout on the USC side is Spurrier, and LSU is also telling USC in no uncertain terms it will not switch the schedule so that LSU will have to go to Columbia to make up the game. USC would have to come to Baton Rouge again.

Did Atlanta drop out of the picture as a potential site?

We need to start pressing USCe real hard to make a decision by lunch today, they should not be allowed to wait until tomorrow

Either way, no matter where it is, they shouldn't be allowed to wait until Thursday, not fair to fans who have hotel rooms reserved and flights purchased

There were a few places reached out to and a few (like shreveport) that said they would be willing to host. Not sure where memphis falls.
memphis seems kinda random, but it's def neutral, has a decent enough sized stadium, has a big airport, has plenty of hotels, has a fake turf field, and the tigers are off this weekend

There is no way the decision is being held up just because of Spurrier.

I thought so too, until I realized that would give us 5 road games that year.

You start the petition and we are all in!
Can we get the LSU folks in SC to march on the capitol?

This makes both sides look bad, keep the rumors coming.
