Eh, Joe breaking his hand when he was the #2 didn't help. It's not like the QB room in Columbus was full of bums either.

You know, Meyer gets a lot of hate on this board, but compared to a guy like Hitler, he’s not so bad!

And deservedly so. That vindictive BS he pulled when PP7 committed to LSU over the Gators proved he was nothing more than just another classless a-hole.

Urban Meyer was one of those people who always told Joe he wasn't good enough.

Not that I care for Myer but that's a psychological trick as old as dirt to push someone to their full potential.

Just ask a USMC Drill Instructor.

Uban Myer gave Joe Burrow a scholarship, something a lot of people didn't do. Maybe Joe needed to work on his throwing mechanics to become who he is today. Heisman Trophy winning,National Championship winning Joe Burrow. There is something that's called constructive criticism. Every negative thing that's said to you or about you is not meant to put you down. I had a track coach in high school that called me stupid to my face everyday. He reminded me of that every time that he saw me. Because I was born with above average foot speed and he wanted me to use that for the betterment of my life. He told me that he could get me a scholarship to any school that I wanted to go to if I ran track. I often looked up and he would be at football practice watching me smoke his track guys. He was absolutely right with what he was trying to tell my young and naive self (my stupid self). That man lived to be about 92 yrs old, his name was Winston Burns. Alabama running backs coach Burton Burns is his son. A lot of people use reverse psychology, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Eh. I’m sure they’re friendly with each other, but not really buying that Joe and Urban have some close relationship now. The fact is Urban never gave him a shot or believed in him enough to play him. You never forget that, especially when you go somewhere else and have the best year in the history of college football.

Wrong. Burrow was next in line. He got hurt, then never could win the job back.

That’s why you see A LOT of players playing hurt. Once you come out of the game in college or NFL, there’s no guarantee you’ll get back in; because there’s a backup that’s just as good as you are that wants your frickin job.

Glad that so many ranters have such an immense knowledge of Burrow and Urban’s relationship. They know more about it than even Joe Burrow and it’s his former coach.

They know how to build a player better than Urban, and they understand Joe’s inner dialogue and emotions. We are a truly lucky bunch to have so many experts available.

Sometimes you gotta tell people they suck at their job to get them to step up their game. As a boss, you have a responsibility to help grow people along the way and that's not always a unicorn and butterfly conversation: sometimes it's step up because right not you are sucking the wind out of the sails.

In the military and football I would agree that it is acceptable but if I was working in job and a manager came up to me and started talking to me like that I would tell him to shove it up his arse.

There's a weird attitude in this country that business owners and managers have the right to make you feel like second-class people when in reality they need you in order to make the business work in the first place. People that treat their employees like they're Cadets at bootcamp deserve a foot in their arse.

Millennial I reckon? Skip Bertman told Ryan Theriot that he was the worst SS he had ever recruited after his 1st weekend start against Tulane.
