Before this yr, LSU has only had 1 coach in their history stay longer than 5 yrs. Longest tenured coach:
1. Cholly Mac
2. Les Miles

maybe not to florida, but we did lose Joe McKnight... and even though he didn't pan out to much at USC, he was one of the best recruits in louisiana

Meyer didnt have to follow UFs legend (Spurrier)

Miles had to follow LSUs legend

I thought Meyer was the spread option guru? apparently he can't coach the offense and has delegated 100% of the defensive play calling.

in fairness, there's no way you lose the coaches, the best QB in college (arguably), and the fastest man in football and have it NOT affect your team.

Florida is down this year, and I would certainly argue if they had a different head coach, it'd be much worse.

Someone really said this? Do they not know who Travis Minor, Marshall Faulk, Major Applewhite, and most important Warrick Dunn is. I would hope they mean recent history, like past 5 years.

Sure, UF has a "youngbuck" at QB. Anyone on here or on our sites that say/said UF isn't/shouldn't have severe growing pains when he left is delusional. We are replacing what many arguably consider the best player to ever play the game (or at least the last 25 years), with a Junior, yes, but one with little or no true gametime experience. So you can "GTFO" all you want, but we're struggling because we lost Tebow. Just as we did when we lost Dannyboy after '96.'

I hate to break the bad news but a Jr QB is not a "young buck". He has been in the system for 3 years and has had plenty of time to learn the offense. Maybe you should blame it more on Meyer not recruiting the right QB to take Tebow's place? Or God forbid not developing a player.

.
his responsibility to hire coaches and the offense is allegedly his specialty. he has failed at recruiting and developing a competent QB. and his RB depth is s.h.I.t.

of course you'd argue that.

Ask anybody here what losing a competent QB will do for your program.

That's ok though, keep living in that bubble where apparently football players don't make a difference in the product on the field lol.

People. Check the title of this thread. We're talking about the concurrent Miles and Meyer eras.

We are all aware that Curley Hallman and Mike Archer lost a few good players from Louisiana. Not material to this topic, though.
