I think there is a little more room in the upper.

I love it personally. You can really see the plays unfold. Warning though, you might get pissed when you see receivers running wide open and not getting the ball.

If you can, get seats on the last row of the upper deck. No one behind you, you can stand up the whole game, and you have a pretty good view of the entire field.

Isn't that last row really high up and hard to see?

I have sat all over the stadium and 2 years ago I sat in the upper deck and loved it. The view is incredible and it seemed to be more roomy.

Hmm...this thread has really convinced me to get some West Upper tickets for the games I want to go to.

I've had season tickets in the upper deck for the past 4 years. View is great! There is this guy who sits a few rows up from me that brings a duck call and it use to annoy me, but I got use to it and now the experience doesn't seem complete without it.

Its not as bad as you would think.

Some of the best seats I had in TS was in the handicapped section on one of the upper decks. We got to sit in lawn chairs, and had a clear view of the field. So it might be worth it to lop off a foot or something.

i've had WU season tix for the past 5 years and i love it. i've sat in the bowl numerous times. the uppers do have more leg room and seats are a lil bigger. im 7 rows from the top and have a great view. have been trying to get the top row the past few seasons. by halftime when the stadium is empty, i usually move to the top rather than down

east uppers is on the visiting side, generally has a lot of visiting team fans up there. and since every SEC game for the past 3 seasons has been played @ 2:30, the sun is in your eyes

I've had season tickets in the south endzone and the west upper. The endzone was my favorite, but west upper isnt too bad. You have a clear view of the field and can really see the development of the plays from there. But like someone else said, dress warm for late season games. The wind cuts right through you up there. I hope someone enjoys the seats I let go back this season...damn economy.

the sun is in your face for at least part of the game (even the 7pm games) and i remember the wind coming in my face off the river.. at least with the west upper it is mostly blocked by the big concrete wall behind the last row!

My mother, an alum, had wu when first built, about 10 rows up around the 50, awesome. The next year, about 10 from the top wu, bug city.

I have sat all over the stadium and I agree with those who prefer WU over EU (opposing fans and sun in face). Not a huge thing but something to consider.

what I strongly recommend, though, is getting as low in the WU as you can. Don't worry so much about what yard line you're on. I made this mistake some time ago when my seats were relocated due to the redesign of the WU. You're high enough such that you have a good view of the whole field, but even just a few rows nearer the field makes a significant difference.

I have 4 in the east upper. The view is great. I suggest you get the rental seat backs if you don't have the chair back seats in the lower portion.

also, i didn't mention (and maybe it's just my imagination) but does anyone find that the east upper seems just a bit steeper than the west upper? my tix in 08 were halfway up the east upper and i was terrified the first time i went up to them, then i sat at the top of the west upper for the auburn game last year (bugs weren't bad btw) and was absolutely fine...
