As posted earlier, you find very few CB's do less than 10 reps (5 over past 2 seasons) and ever fewer do under 5 (0 over past 2 seasons)
So yes embarrassing, 8 should have been his goal with high of 12 as that is what many players of similar height/weight have done over past 2 years in combine

Adam Jones didn't hit double digits and he went 6th overall. It doesn't matter at that position because it only takes one and the skill they are really after isn't bench press.

I've always thought Mathieu would fit well with a team that plays cover 2. Maybe a team that does that will pick low in the first round or high to mid second and take him.

He should of been a heisman as a true sophomore..

He was SEC defensive player of the year as a true sophomore.

He's a rare force of nature on the football field. I doubt any of those guys played with his fire, passion, and skill. Stuff that actually matters.

There is something to be said about elite production. People said Terrell Suggs was too slow (and he had injury issues) and nine other teams passed on him because of those concerns. Dude is a beast. Sometimes you have to believe your eyes.

Yeah he's a player.

That is a good point tho.. and while I have no idea.. Suggs probably tore it up with the weights.. which, at his position, is where overall power would be more important or beneficial to overcome the speed criticism.

DeWayne Robertson KY
Jonathan Sullivan UGA
Terrence Newman KSU
Kevin Williams OSU

were the defenders that could be had before Suggs was taken. Which of those guys would you want over him?

This. NFL teams and scouts don't use the combine as a big measuring stick like fans do. They use it to make sure a guy they like doesn't do terrible. It's used to make sure good guys are legit, and small school guys turning heads. The biggest thing they look at is film. What they do on the field.

Lacy isn't even competing in the combine, but he will still be the #1RB taken. If your a big named player, all you gotta do is not be terrible at the combine or pro day.

Adam Jones also did 9, and had 2 disqualified before of improper form

And if people would read my post they would see my thoughts on bench and the 40

At his pro day though. Which I'm not sure if it offers an advantage like the 40 does, but it is worth mentioning.

Living in Nashville and having seen Courtland Finnegan emerging years in the NFL, I can vouch that this is an excellent comparison. Small in physical stature, but cat quick, instinctive, with a mean streak that backs down to nobody. Finnegan turned from a 7th round draft pick into a Pro Bowl selection. And frankly, TM has the added skill as a punt returner that gives him even a greater upside.

If he keeps is nose clean, I predict...watch out for an NFL baller...forget the height, weight measurables.

I think most everyone would do well to follow this advice.

And at his pro day it has 0 which means he didn't participate unless you can link me another site than LINK

Fact is 40 time and bench are both pointless but that doesn't make 4 any less embarrassing

I think you are misreading your link. That is the one I have. Pacman didn't work out at the combine. He did 9 at his pro day.

He's been compared to Finnegan for quite some time. Remember posters during 2011 season saying the same.. but he still brings more to the table IMO and is better all around.

I like it the comparison tho, because it means people see him as a full time starting corner.

I agree, but Finnegan did have a sub-4.4. Even though it is only a small amount of time it is crazy how big a difference it makes at the margins on guys like those two.

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet but Morris Claiborne ran a 4.52 and a 4.47 40 last year.

How am I misreading? I said 9
You then stated, "at his proday though" indicating he had less some where else....
