Eh. Just read in the American Press that he'll make a decision Wednesday between McNeese and Nicholls St. The only reason he'd pick Nicholls is to play half arse and go off to the NFL. If he wants to win, McNeese is the place to be. Damn, I hope being close to home doesn't influence his decision.
Hopefully everyone connected to him pushes him to LC.

Nicholls would be a really bad choice for him.

Wednesday is the start of classes at McNeese. Late registration started today, ends Thursday.

McNeese starts classes Wednesday. Not sure about Nicholls.

yea ive seen red say 70/30 and they are getting him all the help and support he could use.
I honestly wont be all that upset if he goes to mcneese since i never expected to even be discussing his possible return. It will sting if alleva says no but oh well, the worst part would be gg being happy and espn actually thinking he is worth 2 fricks.

GG is going to throw a shite fit if Mathieu is ever allowed back at LSU.

I can just see espn thinking... "hey who's the LSU guy down there to talk to? Glen Guilbeau! Perfect!"
fricking glen comparing this to penn state SHOULD tell you all you need to know about him.

I really hope it happens. Tyrann should be thinking long term, not just what's good right now.. I'm sure his family is thinking the same thing.

Yep

I wish GG would never be allowed to cover anything LSU again. He is a complete joke and no one takes anything he reports as credible. Unless you are ESPN I guess.

Has anyone in the AD released any statements?
How hard is it to say he is or isn't eligible to play again?

I can't tell if this is TM7 watch or GG bashing day.

Now national media are using guilbeau's quotes that are outdated and out of context as fact. This is total hack bullshite

Yea id really like him back and hopefully the admin at LSU allows him the chance to serve the punishment and then return. If not I do think mcneese will take good care of him for the year and help him get his head back straight before going pro.
either way if he stays clean I bet we see honeybadger at LSU at least one more time, If we let him back another season, if he goes to mcneese then i bet he is allowed by les miles to attend our pro day.

Yes, they said the did NOT unequivocally say that he was precluded from ever returning.

I don't see where anyone here was turning this situation into an issue about race. You heard black community mentioned & immediately began to jump to conclusions. Imo, you completely misinterpreted what was posted.
The truth of the matter is that there are many people in depths of the black community who distrust white people. Those who still feel that way are wrong & need to get over their distrust. Still in all, it is what it is but there is an opportunity here to break down barriers & stereotypes all the while everyone involves benefits.
If TM7 is serious about sitting out for a year, continuing to go to school & cleaning up his act then he shows to everyone that the system of punishment worked. You have a talented young man be able to do what he loves on the football field but even better, he would be clean & more of a model citizen.
For LSU, this could show that's it's policies do work. No matter how big of an celebrity you become due to athletics, no one is above the rules. Sitting out an entire is a very strict policy along with the other terms of reinstatement.
This could also be a huge feather in the cap for Les Miles. Giving TM7 a chance for redemption would only make him look even more like a father figure then he already is which could make him even more impressionable as a recruiter.
After all that is said & done, LSU & the faithful fans would get what they want most & that's a helluva football player but even better person off the field. There is a real opportunity here to do so really good things here & knock down some barriers as well.

I'm convinced he's leaving. Jim Kleinpeter says he's announcing Wednesday.
If he chooses Nicholls, it's going to be a bigger WTF moment than when it was announced that he was getting booted.

It would be pretty telling. I don't think he can escape any problems he may have if he goes there.
