people that only like to smoke weed would quit after the 1st failed test...with that much on the line thats what separates the recreational users from the addicts

the issue is WHY did he do it and why several times with so much to lose. these are the problems that cause him to rely on weed to escape from "reality"

How do we know he isn't addicted to some other drug? Could he be on crack? Never heard of anyone going to rehab for reefer only.

Yeah "addiction" to weed is almost 100% mental.

Mental or not look at Ricky Williams. Rashaan Salaam won the Heisman, was a 1st rd RB and admitted to weed addiction contributing to him flaming out early

So hard not to digress....it is the opposite of drugs. One day we will live based on facts and not rhetoric and ignorance but not today TM7 so time to drop the joints.

there's some truth to this but is it absolutely certain he failed for marijuana every time?

I remember hearing about him testing positive for the fake stuff which is actually pretty hard to test for, not many places do it.

Most drug tests don't screen for that from what I've researched.

true, I never said that, and I'm having a hard time picturing Nicky saying that as well

ok, but someone else did.

I agree with you. Negative recruiting happens alot but I dont see this as potential ammo for other coaches to use against LSU. TM7 had 3 chances, and other coaches arent gonna go tell mom, hey look what LSU did, they kicked a kid off the team after busting 3 drug tests, we arent gonna do if he signs here. Hell, that could acutally blow up in their faces with alot of parents.

Sorry im on my phone and cant search 30 pages of ranting:

Im assuming if he plays in 2013 he wont have a scholly correct?

I'd love to see him redeem himself, but he's 100% undeserving of a scholarship.

But if he is given one, does it count as a new one and take a scholly away from someone else/recruit

If LSU lets him stay, they should put him under the microscope. Test him once a week. have him do some outreach programs etc..

This! TM7 could become the Mike Vick of college football by using this situation to speak to young adults about how the privaledge of playing college football can all be taken away by using bad judgement.

Last time I checked, Ricky Williams made a comeback and surpassed the 10,000 rushing yards landmark with the Ravens before retiring this year.

Also, Calvin Johnson admitted to smoking weed and led the NFL in receiving yards last year.

Just watched the 1st take. I am dumbfounded the Screamin A. Smith took the positive rout.
Other than that skip-dumbass gonna skip-dumbass.
I really ho[e that Tryann takes this time, whatever he chooses to do, and learns form his actions. He is such a spectacular player and has the ability to use his background and personal history as a way to inspire in other kids, excellence, in whatever they decide to do. My fingers are crossed that he gets an opportunity to redeem himself and prove he has the character, resolve and personal fortitude to wear the purple and gold one more time.

I have and it's common.

Most of the rehab is getting users out of their setting and away from other users. Once that happens, a lot of people wake up and realize they're addicted to pot and the people.

Ricky Williams would not say that at all! Ignorance is what is so dangerous and that includes any ignorances I have so don't take it personal. Can't speak for the others just know including Ricky Williams is ignorant and not true.

If TM7 got in Les's doghouse (like Jarrett Lee apparently did last year) I don't see Les budging.
