Probably just never thought they would actually kick him off. His ego got inflated, thought he was above the rules.

Coming back is a tough road, but it would have a big payoff, not just that they NFL would know that his head is on straight, but he could finish his degree. People don't realize how important that it. And to those that say he can come back later... You have no idea how much harder it is after you've been away for a while. You lose things pretty quickly.
So, come back TM!
Les and Joe. let TM come back!
Bust your arse young man!

For smoking weed? If you drink at all, you are doing something far more destructive. It's not the fact that he's a drug addict, it's that he broke a rule. Plain and simple.

LSU has hired Phil Fulmer as a consultant on how to handle the reinstatement issue.

A lot of shite was said by all last week in the heat of emotion. Having the weekend to let things cool a little was the best thing that could happen. If the kid wants to stay a student at LSU, I am sure there are those who could and will make that happen. If he keeps his nose clean, and really, really impresses Les as contrite, I could actually see Les letting him have the oppportunity to walk on in 2013. The conditions would probably be akin to being a neutered monk, but it TM7 could make it happen, it would be a testament to his personal growth in character. Granted, he would have to earn his spot on the team, as well as his playing time (unlike JJ), but I wouldn't be surprised to see Les meet him halfway. Sometimes the things that were initially said and done is what it takes to get a hard headed kid's attention. If you do give him an opportunity to come back, don't make it easy for him. Make him earn every inch, and make an example for the rest of the team.

Yeah "addiction" to weed is almost 100% mental.

not plain and simple, the issue is WHY did he do it and why several times with so much to lose. these are the problems that cause him to rely on weed to escape from "reality"

yes, he's too young to drink anyway.

Rumors from around the bin seem to imply that covering up crap like that is easy to do. Nice to see LSU not do it. These are kids and examples need to be set for them. As dumb as it is to punish for this, he will be ok laying off of the cheeba and learn a great lesson too.

May be legally an adult, but as we all know at that age - still emotionally a kid.

The NCAA 5 to play 4 rule is straight forward and the logic has been explained multiple times. I'm not looking it up from my phone, but the easiest example for you to understand is probably Josh Booty. He was a RS Sophomore his first year on the team in 99.

Maybe he just liked smoking weed..???

Who told you he busted 4 drug tests?
Posted on 8/13/12 at 3:05 pm to bcwarb
How do we know he isn't addicted to some other drug? Could he be on crack? Never heard of anyone going to rehab for reefer only.

who knows man, im a recovering drug addict myself which is part of the reason im slightly in the know...trying to figure out whats at the root of all of this because "normal" people dont fail drug tests and keep smoking like hes done
Im wondering if its more than weed. Its a shame that college kids can go legally drink themselves to death but God forbid if you smoke a little dope. Thats a whole other subject...i digress
