Ok so then it IS a school issue, and the school administration is the entity which has imposed the year-long suspension

I did not word it properly. The rules only applies to student althetes, and not the entire student population. By "school" I was refering to the Athletic Department.

If the school says he can play athletics, and Miles lets him back on the team, what does Alleva have to do with any of this?

Miles has a boss...his name is Joe Alleva. If Joe Alleva says a player cannot play then no matter what Les wants the player does not play.

It would be pretty legendary to be able to give TM7 a standing ovation on senior night IF he were able to sit out a full year as a regular student and get his degree on time.

I get that, but if the school and Miles say he can come back, Alleva would be a moron for getting in the way. That guy has a boss, too, and if the alumni want him gone they will get their way.

This would be a HUGE positive in recruiting. Certainly would help wit St Aug. caring more about the person than the player would give LSU a very favorable impression with kids. They always want someone who's got their back.
If possible, we HAVE to do this, or face the difficulties in negative recruiting.

You mean when other schools say that LSU doesn't enforce it's rules and let's players get high?

If people tweet/Facebook him how he would be a total bamf to come back, he may. The rant doesn't quit. #freebadger

Probably not. People wanted Miles fired not long ago. He got a contract extention.

Except he wouldn't be a senior. If he weere to sit out 2012, when he rejoined the team, 2012 would count as a redshirt and he would still have two to play two.

No, that they care about the kids more as people than just players. Don't kid yourself, it's already happening.

so letting kids get away with 3 or more busted drug tests is good for the development for the kid?

has anyone linked that redshirting is possible? I find it very hard to beleive a player can use a redshirt year while suspended.
