It is LSU's rule not NCAA. Therefor they can amend them. I hope that LSU at the least considers this option. To me it would show that they "care" about the athletes and not just meat for the grinder. Might be wishful thinking but, today I am an optimist.

That wouldn't be crazy..maybe they are just trying to get miles to give him a year suspension and to let him come back later..he may have been a stupid pothead..but he was a leader on the football field

You would think TM would know the conditions of the discipline better than an hack newspaper writer. If he thinks he can sit out a year and then play again there must be some validity to the plan.

I don't think thats true. I've never heard them say that specifically. All was said is that "he is no longer with our team." it's been stated that it's a one year ban from NCAA schools. But after that he can play wherever he wants. I think most just thought he'd be going to the NFL in 2013

Man, I was thinking the same damn thing. This for TM7 is a like a season ending injury, just take the damn season off straighten yourself out and come back and play for the big time school that took a chance on you! I hope this is true.
