what exactly does that mean? Jones now cleared?
Alabama did this with Sentimore even though he is not cleared yet. It means they know they will be cleared.

So what is 105 referencing? Hicks is already qualified and Jones is expecting to get clearance soon, right? Don't know if Sentimore is that far yet.

105 is total number of players on Roster, which includes 85 scholarship players and 20 walkons.

Thanks, I didn't even think of that. I guess Jones is either qualified or will be in the next day or two, just like Les said last week.

So if the 105 is now set, including Jones but excluding Loston, then who is the poor walkon that gets kicked to the curb if Loston qualifies in late August? And that means without Loston, we will have only 84 on scholarship this coming year.

If we are at 84, which is probably not going to be the case, they would give the last scholarship to a walk on like Daniel Graff

This may all be a moot point as I notice Seth Fruge is a walkon from Welsh, LA. He'll probably be murdered by the end of fall camp if he travels home considering the mean, violent streets he has to contend with in that hellhole. Thank god, J. Jackson got out of there. Kudos to Fruge for not being another Welsh statistic at this point.

With Corley, Foyil, Jones, Josh Johns, and Loston we will be at 87.
Corley is transferring, so that will be 86. If everyone else qualifies, Foyil won't be on scholarship this year. I believe he was last year (only 84 guys on the team last year), but he was not the year before.

I thought with Corley, Jones, Johns and Loston we were at 86. Now that Corley is gone it will work out perfectly if Loston gets cleared.
I've never seen for 100% if Foyl is on scholarship or not.

I think he was given one last year because LSU was under the required 85 but will not be on scholarship this year. He was not on scholarship in 2007 either.
It kind of resembles the situation with walk-ons at basketball programs.
