why can't it be both? Although the former is something fans can control. The latter, they cannot.

This is just my opinion, so take it FWIW. I don't think recruits give two shits about what people say on a message board. They care about getting to the NFL. O is supposed to be a master recruiter, so I don't think this message board or any other factors in whatsoever in the recruiting process. Twitter may be a different story, I'm not sure I don't do the social media thing. But, if I did, I would never contact a recruit or player.

and if im being honest.... i refuse to be ok with lsu hiring unqualified coaches and then letting the sunshine pumping portion of this fanbase start acting like 10 wins is too much to expect when it should be the floor at lsu.

The rant wants hard nosed guys unafraid of competition...also believes recruits can be run off by message board posters. Wouldn’t that poster not want a kid so soft he’s swayed by fan forum opinions? Who knows I guess...

As someone that coaches young men in high school, I am of the opinion that this message board carries significant weight. The shite sandwich against Troy left their minds long ago. The constant shitting on the program, however, has an impact imho... especially if it is a long term. These young men are wired differently. They grew up in an age of social media. For fricks sake, the catch me outside chic is a well known person in their mind now. Comparing how you see things to how they see things is night and day. Just my .02.

I'm still in pain. Barely ate anything today. Did some extra reps and ran 5 miles. I don't think I did much of a dent either. How's your mother-in-law doing?

I agree with you on people posting here. Everybody has different options that's what is fun with these boards. Just sucks that everytime a good thread gets started to many peeps have to start negative crap. This thread started about kid visiting It has turned into crap then built back up then crap again. There is a time for downing whatever you don't enjoy.

Nobody but the kid and his family know what's going to happen. Not sure they even know yet. This is a life changing decision for kid. What's your thoughts?

Unfortunately, everything football related is going to eventually lead to a conversation about the coaching staff because they are so unproven and it's polarizing. Fans are passionate and some believe in being objective and looking at the facts of the situation while others support their team and school no matter who the coach is. Neither is right or wrong, but it's always going to end up in that debate.
