Well Perkins is getting bad advice because he looks bad at ILB.
I also would expect BK and Baker to be able to work something out where he is playing where we need him but also getting some rep in the middle. You get both.
You can’t let a player hold the program hostage no matter how good he is. That’s how you end up looking like Colorado.
If it gets bad enough, I'm sure they'll make the difficult decision. But the original point still remains, he's playing inside right now because that's what he wants, and that's what NFL scouts said he needs to do. I'm sure the same thing happened last offseason.

Can you post any evidence that Harold Perkins has demanded to play where he’s playing now?

I think you misunderstand my point.
Both DC's have, in fact, placed him in an ILB position. The fact that HP7 is a tweener and isn't a highly-functioning ILB has borne out.
The moronic part is in believing that HP7 dictated to two different DC's on where he was to be played and how, off of some potential NFL future. I don't believe either House or Baker would be enough of a moron to risk their defense's performance - and hence their jobs - just because a player told them to play him at a certain position or else.
House had so many other defensive issues besides Perkins being played out of prime position that he got booted. I am ever hopeful, as a Tiger fan, that Baker will successfully find ways to turn Perk loose in the offensive backfield by modifying his situational positioning and blitz/stunt packages. Whether those jibe with HP7's nfl aspirations would be coincidental to Baker having a successful defensive unit, not the tail wagging the dog as was presented.

Look at what happened with Stingley. His production was nowhere near what he was expected to do after a stellar freshman season.
Tell me you don't know shite about football without telling me you don't know shite. They tested him his freshman year and he made them pay. After that, the ball was rarely thrown to the guy he was guarding. He's not going to light up the stat sheet when they flat out don't even attempt to throw the ball his way."

The reason Perkins is playing MLB is thats where HE AND HIS AGENT
wants him to.He is worried about his draft stock.BK needs to say enough of this and play him where he can be effective.Hes not contributing much to
this D now.If Perkins objects and leaves so be it,He aint helping so far.

Him being an ILB is so stupid. The guy can’t shed blocks when tackles block down on him and gets blown up trying to fill gaps. Just let him be an athlete at the STAR
He might as well give up hope for this season and either go pro or transfer. Unless he’s just not great anywhere, LSU ruined this guy.
For the kid’s sake, if he stays in college another year I hope he does transfer. He seemed so talented his freshman year.

Perk got pancaked at the goal line vs Nichols State. Obviously, he can't really play inside because he's not strong enough. Play the STAR position and help the team. Not everyone gets to the NFL.

See the thing is, it is scheme. Coaches don’t want to send him off the edge constantly or let him roam in space.
This is NOT the case. First off he does not have the size to go off the edge every single play. Second, the Coaches want to play him in space and let his athletic abilty take over. Perk and his camp want him at ILB and the Coaches have tried doing their best to get him up to speed. But the reason it isn't working is because he doesn't understand fits and its not natural to him reading and reacting.
He is moving to the Star position and will be used in space with blitzes, zone drops to the perimeter to take away screens, outs and bubbles, and potentially spying QB on certain down and distances. Be curious to see how the 4 remaining DBs will be played because if Stamps can play in the slot then you could slide Stamps to covering the slot, have Zy and PJ outside and then Sage (or someone) playing deep and play a lot of man Free or Cover 3. That would alow for us to stop the run with the amount of players in the box.
