sick sick sick of it. FB and BB, both led by undisciplined, laid back and lacking of detail oriented coaching. LSU players, alum and fans deserve and should expect more than this. We have become an also-ran in the SEC...unacceptable

Give me a fricking break. Go look at what is happening with Florida and Michigan athletics right now and then try to complain about LSU.

LSU didn't have the talent last year to be a top 8 team. Our hitting struggled but we were carried by Nola.
Houston was a team who should have hosted but they didn't. We got the best 2 seed in our regional.
Last season wasn't an underachievement, we just got a bad draw in a regional.

Sans Baseball, agreed. Recruits line up to play Baseball and every year highly RANKED and Tourney bound. Making NCAA tourney in BB should be a minimum standard EVERY year and FB should never be unranked...period

Go back and look at the Basketball recruits on this team for the last three years. We've got one five star player on the team. ONE.
Mickey was a top 50 player and Quarterman a top 100. Nobody has showed up big time from the 2014 recruiting class. Our best player from that class sits the bench. The one showing the most promise is Three Star Patterson. Gray was a four star. Forget about the players from CJJ's first year. The best of the bunch transferred to Tulane.
With Simmons and Blakeney, we'll finally have a core from which expectations can be made. Until then, people ranting about not being a sweet sixteen, etc. simply are showing their youth and lack of appreciation of basketball outside the SEC.

Martin was a top 15 player and Mickey will be an All SEC first teamer, likely SEC Defensive POY and possible SEC POY. Is that not a good enough core to expect LSU to simply just make the NCAAT? Simmons is going to be here for ONE season. Martin and Mickey very well may not be on the team next year. So instead of having two solid frontcourt players, LSU will have one.
Until Johnny Jones can get his teams to consistently play intelligent basketball, NOTHING will change. LSU will continue to be a program with unfulfilled potential. So many of their dumb plays come from trying to rush things for no reason. And it's clear that Jones is completely OK with LSU being one of the worst teams when it comes to TOs year after year

Pumpers, Sanders, Cheerleaders and Worshippers absolutely LOVE not being ranked, being mediocre and under acheiving.
They LOVE it.
They're all life long non-athletes with no competitive fire or spirit.

Just like Alleva, they are satisfied with COMPETING for Championships, but not so much the WINNING of any Championships........

Well first off if you believe recruiting rankings there are plenty of more talented sec teams. I Guess it's jones fault that his players are good unlike bamas five star pollard. As for Arkansas we are basically where arky was last year. However anderson has one more year on jones.
I'm as frustrated as anyone else but at the same time you have took objectively at the data.
