do you really think this is even a remote possibility right now?
More selfish behavior from JJ though, do this crap behind the scenes.

He is presumed innocent, only in a court of law, not anywhere
else.
else.

Les has strongly suggested that the school has to clear JJ as well--code of student conduct and all that.
In other words, he can play the good cop here, while "the administration" is the bad cop whose lawyers deal w/ Ungelsby to keep this (hopefully) from being too distracting.

No college Athlete under university scholarship should be allowed to compete while having been arrested of a felony for battery during a broken curfew. JJ's attorney is bringing more selfish distractions to the LSU football program. In light of JJ's attorney's actions I believe JJ should be permantly suspended from all activities at LSU until his legal issues are resolved. If JJ's attorney is so concerned about JJ being treated unfairly then I suggest he get to work on getting the case resolved ASAP.

That attorney knows if he gets JJ to play it will up his chances of going pro. He will then drag it out until he is in the pros to Finnish the case and charge pro money.

If I'm Les I'm telling him don't bother calling or showing up at my office b/c I have a game to prepare for. I'll talk you after the Oregon game. At which time my answer will be no, he's not reinstated.

I knew "JJ going pro" would foil my scenario...

Allowing him to come back would be a source of great distraction to the team. Additionally, it would be a black eye for the program. I believe in innocent until proven guilty, but were it any other program, we'd be calling for his dismissal from that team rather loudly.

WTF does Unglesby have to do with JJ's suspension?
Guys get suspended all the time without charges brought against them. Perhaps LM had talked with the BRPD to see what evidence they did have and based his suspension on that info, rather than the "charges".
For better or worse, LM decided the suspend them the day the charges were filed, so he is now stuck until all of this plays out, unless he wants to look like a complete fool.
Unfortunate all around.

Bottom line is those who either: A. Want Jefferson back on the team or: B. Think he'll get reinstated.. Don't have a firm grip on reality.
There's no way miles let's Jefferson back on the team.
It would pit the majority of the fanbase against him, cause major distractions,
And the local and national media would rip him apart daily causing even more of a problem.
If you think he gets reinstated, you might want to get your head examined.

Unglesby said as much on the sconeman's show on Friday. He hinted strongly that he was going to ask for reinstatement.

Team does NOT need this distraction any longer.
As unfortunate as it is, JJ did make the decision to put himself within that environment by breaking curfew.
IMHO, would it be a very selfish move and show a lack of leadership?

this. I believe that Aleva needs to step in and declare JJ out through at least September. Then he should quietly tell the lawyer to shut up or it will be a full dismissal.
Sad thing is that this would be close to over if JJ and Johns just went in and fessed up to what they did to begin with. BRPD has at least 2 videos that we know of and I am willing to bet that Shady's may have had a better video of the fight then they are revealing right now. I never trust what a police department says about evidence in the beginning of an investigation.
I am guessing that some of the other players told the police what actually happened as well, which would explain why there weren't more arrests.
