So with several JR'S leaving early we can say that Les can/does develop players?

Cheif coaches and develops NFL ready talent on the defense, not miles. I will be shocked if lsu ever has 5 losses with Cheif coaching the defense.
Too bad ChIEf can't coach defensive backs. DL and LB's not a problem. DB's without Cooper are another story all together. They were burnt toast starting with the last series against Bama and for the remainder of the season, giving up over 300 yards passing in each of the last four games.

Name the last impact junior to stay at lsu. Or give me some from the miles era.

They can't wait to leave.

They have no reason to stay. It happens at all top 10 programs. If a player can't increase his draft stock by coming back, then they leave.

The only person I can think of in recent history that came back to school when his draft stock wouldn't go higher was Barret Jones. The next closest is maybe Teo, but Teo actually could raise his stock. Jones couldn't. Everyone else has bolted early.

It'll help some that he's coming back since we'll be playing a bunch of guys with little experience in the secondary. Glad he's staying

it's really hard to disagree with this. losing cooper was a huge blow to our defense.

ford and ware could not improve their stock behind hill and hilliard. Mingo, montgomery, minter, reid, simon and logan-$$$$-but we are loaded with great defensive players who will do just fine. wing will be missed. but, its college football and we lost alot, but because of the quality of our program-we had a lot to lose. The "Chief" is a great coach and a great developer of talent so I am looking for a better defense in 2013=especially if they do not have to carry the offense and be on the field 70% of the game.

You remember Charles Scott?
The reason Ridley didn't come back his senior year is because Charles Scott was injured his senior year after a 1000+ Junior Year.
