Under the 12 team playoff system, I believe LSU would’ve won the tile in 2006

I’m not as confident we would’ve won a 12 team playoff in 2007, but certainly possible.

However, at the end of the season, LSU was the best team in the country in 2006.

We did finish No. 3 that year, so it’s not a huge stretch.

For this reason, I like the 12 team system.

Maybe if you like the NFL but I like college football.

If the refs didn’t screw us in the auburn game we win in 2006.

Might have won it in 2001 as well. Possibly 2005 also.

College football as you knew it is dead and gone. Free agency was the final nail in the coffin.

The refs don’t cheat at Jordan Hare and LSU wins it all that year

LSU never would’ve gotten past the zebras.

No one wanted any part of the 2001 team at the end of the year.

God that year was such bullshite. For all the hate Miles gets in his prime he could've won multiple NCs. 2006 wasn't really all his fault. The refs absolutely hosed us in Auburn game. We should've went to NC that year.

Florida still would have been hard to beat in 2006. I don’t know if we were better than them.

that team wouldn’t have the firepower to keep up with the 2001 Canes.

2006, 2011, 2012 we should have won it. Mulligan affected us getting 2 NC’s.

They win 2005 as well, that team was wore out at the end of the year having to play 11 games without a rest week until after the sec championship game.

The home team supplied the booth replay official in the SEC in 2006;

the booth replay official in Auburn had a daughter on scholarship at Auburn that year;

the SEC changed the rule so LSU could not get revenge in 2007!!!

I want to say 2005 as well but it would’ve been a tall task trying to beat that 05 Texas or USC team

Everyone said the same thing about us going into Tennessee game in the SEC title. You’re more than likely correct, but would’ve been fun to see it play out. We were the hottest team in the country at end of the year.

If it wasn’t for the 4 or 5 turnovers in the first game we win in the swamp the first time. Nothing is guarenteed but I would have liked our chances on a nuetral field at end of season.
