I get the slight advantage but at the end of the day you still get 27 outs

As a courtesy for their hospitality we will only require them to have to make 24 outs tonight. It's the least we could do.

The uniforms they wore yesterday were

Hard to imagine having such beautiful colours and winding up with that pyjama kit as a result.

they should be home.
every time??

do they really need that advantage//

should other teams who had to struggle thru while they played the biggest patty also have to be perennial visitor??

Seems to me the rule is fair - try to spread the home/visitor as evenly as possible - for the FINAL game only. Especially if the 'challenger' has already had to fight thru being 'away' team far more than the host team.

The host team has a great advantage in knowing their park, how the wind blows, crowd support, routine housing and eating, no travel time, etc - etc - that is a great advantage.

Plus they are already acknowledged to the the "better team" - so why would they need an additional unfair advantage???

UNC is Loser-Game 6 and should be subject to the same home/away rules as any other Game 6 loser.

except that has nothing at all to do with WHY they are the road team tonight.

if you want to base it off of that, I wouldn't hate it. I don't really love it, but at least it has something to do with on-field results.

I personally think earning a National Seed should guarantee you the final deciding game.
You earned that right by being one of the best teams in the entire country starting in February. Not just last night.

basing it purely off "lets make sure everyone gets a turn" like we currently do is just stupid.

Super Regionals and the 3 game CWS finals do it correctly.
The higher seeded team is Home for games 1 and 3.
the higher seed gets the advantage of being home in the deciding game.
how it should be.

Unrelated but has it always been called game 7?

Since they went to the (16) 4-team regional format game 7 has been called game 7.

Not sure what you define as crying, but It looked like one poster asked if UNC was home/away and one poster responded away and the rule was dumb, but they need to just win... and that was all within a 2 page topic titled " UNC Falls to LSU, Faces Winner-Take-All Game for NCAA Regional".. it is almost like you are trying to manufacture something that just is not there

It’s not the UNC regional. Its the Chapel Hill regional.
