I work with a michigan grad and we exchange football chatter every now and then i found his opinion of les miles very interesting....

he said he would take him in a second, knows he is quirky and that he can have the proverbial brain fart from time to to,e but also knows he can recruit very very well and runs a class program.. which he says are two of the most important things to most michigan grads after being pounded by OSU in recruiting recently and after RR put them on probabation for the first time ever...he said his #1 choice if they make a move to oust RR it would be harbaugh but if he wouldn't come he would like miles a lot....he says he doesnt know if they are goigng to get rid of RR but thinks they should have a few years ago when the NCAA violations first came out and thinks they definitely should now...he thinks season was a little flukey as all the succuess was based one player, in robinson...he says at the very least the entire defensive staff has to go.

I am NOT implying that LM is going to UM nor trying to start any rumors about RR getting fired and the implication it might mean for LSU.....just giving a pretty well knowledged UM grad of their situation as well as his opinion of LM

I have a buddy and his dad went to Michigan and they love Les Miles. They say we're spoiled rotten due to success and that we are lucky to have a coach like LM. They do not like RR though

You live in Texas. Do you even know where Michigan is?

I think so...Isn't it just between can't beat Ohio St. and beat an SEC team the last time they played one?

could it be because he turned them down once already

of course you're being sarcastic, but you did create an interesting scenario

They were supposedly split the first time around but I'm sure it wouldn't help

Since the Michigan program is more han a little down, it only makes sense that they would look to a good coach to imrove it, and more than a few Michiganders that I know have a high regard for Les Miles.
And more than a few would love to have him there right now instead of RR. Your attempt at being cute really falls flat.

More than a few would like to have Elmer Fudd there instead of RR too.

I'm sure they want to go back to 3yds. and a cloud of dust. Isn't the grass always greener on the other side? Here, you've got half the fan base wanting to oust Crowton for Mike Leach and the pass every down offense, and up there, they have the spread and no one wants it. probably cause they suck, but still.

Don't get me wrong, I hate michigan and think that CLM had to play cover up like no one ever has at the 2007 SECCG presser, cause he was on his way out the door.

The same guy i know says that they Michigan AD really botched everything when they tried hire miles and didn't go after harbaugh to begin with and went with RR. Says that while some booster are not high on miles it has nothign to do with him turnin UM down it's that they threw all their eggs into one basket with him and when LSU backed into the MNC they were shite out of luck. pitt doesn't pull off the huge upset miles goes to michigan. period end of story. their dislike comes from his goofiness with the media.

Yeah, well the big money and Lloyd Carr hired Rich Rod. So, the other party might have some weight to throw around in the next coaching search.

This really lame attempt at humor disqualifies you from any serious consideration in the debate.

Ok that explains a lot.

I don't care what anyone associated with Michigan thinks. If they take our coach, it'll just give me another reason not to like the Big 10/11.

I don't even know why this thread exists.

LES MILES IS GOING NO WHERE!!

Who would want to fill his spot where you're pressured to have a 10+ win season EVERY YEAR? Not to mention the most critical fans in college football (no disrespect because I am one of them sometimes).

Les will be here for at least another year or two.

Now if we can get rid of our OC, that is a much more realistic goal.
