The same guy i know says that they Michigan AD really botched everything when they tried hire miles and didn't go after harbaugh to begin with and went with RR.

Harbaugh has his share of both supporters and enemies in the UM camp. Hiring him isn't any slam dunk.

it's that they threw all their eggs into one basket with him and when LSU backed into the MNC they were shite out of luck. pitt doesn't pull off the huge upset miles goes to michigan.

I am having to assume that your source is Herbstriet. The Miles/Michigan connection was broken before the SECCG. Miles, through is agent, let Michigan know that he wasn't interested before any offer was made in order to save face on both ends. That's how things are done at that level.

their dislike comes from his goofiness with the media.

Miles', "goofiness" is more of an issue with LSU types than anyone else. The Michigan issue was dead long ago as I wrote earlier.

I would be ok with Miles to going to Michigan.

It would give me a team to pull for besides LSU.

I happen to think he is a good coach, and has represented LSU and the State of La well, wins and has a good time doing it. Life is to short for anything else.

I have to ask you, is that such a bad thing that we're spoiled rotten because LSU is a powerhouse?

4 of 6 seasons at LSU were double digit wins. A 9 and a 7 win season.
Not many programs can top those numbers over the last 6 years.

I agree. Les Miles is a good coach, a great recruiter and a very good man.

Last 6 years with a good coach I think you could expected at the least 1 undefeated Season maybe 2 and at least a 1 lost year. Saban has had 2 in the west at Bama in 4 years . GC at Auburn in his 2nd year has already went undefeated. And neither of them had the talent the 05,06,07 LSU teams had.

None of them went through the Katrina drama nor the rip off refs at AU either.
2007 losses to KY and Ark probably should not have happened but even playing poorly, we went into triple overtimes.

Why not 3. Or 4? Or all of them? You can't possibly be serious about this statement. In your world only undefeated seasons are worthy? In your world only coaches with undefeated seasons are good coaches? Seriously, this has to be sarcasm.

I hear this sttement a lot.
What makes you think that LSU has a monopoly on talent? What makes you think that the talent at LSU is that much better than anyone else's? Are the players on other teams not talented?

Man I hope you are kidding, because if you are serious you need to see a shrink about your disconnect with reality problem.

In 5 years Satan had won the west twice, and a 1 loss NC season.you would have to figure the great Miles would do at least as good.

Wasn't trying to make you laugh there, but if you take as humor, guess it shows the state of their program.

Thanks for breaking down our posts with your play by play there Gray, but you should probably stick to your day job.

Please tell us how Saban lost 3 games in 2004. I mean hell he was in year 5 with all his own players.

In 5 years Miles had won the west twice and a 2 loss NC season and won more games.

Also...Saban coached against Zook and Shula. Miles has had to coach against Meyer and Saban.

1st, Miles is a good coach and a good person. He's not a great coach, but a very good coach. We could do a lot worse at LSU... and we have.

I've thought about it though, and Miles going to coach at Michigan is the best scenario for him. He's in a no win situation at LSU because some rantards love and will always love the coach who was here before him and he will never live up to their standards because we are spoiled. However, in Michigan, he can rebuild a program and be the "Michigan Man" who revived the program. I wouldn't blame him for leaving, but I have to admit that I'd be kind of scared for us if he did.

Well...my brother's wife, in Illinois, has a sister, who's best friend's friend, a female college football fan, drove through Michigan a few times and heard that Michigan football has been down a while and they need a new coach.

according to some, we have had more than one lost year.

you really don't know what the hell you are talking about though. in the history of modern college football, noone has 2 undefeated seasons every 6 years. also, your desire to hire nick saban or gene chizak is disgusting. chizak is about ready to have his career ended and saban is not coming back here. if he does, don't look for him to be hungry for another NC, expect him to cruise which is what i expect him to do at bama now that he's won one there.
