You can't win the winners bracket game without winning the first game.. ULL isn't head and shoulders above Sam Houston State enough to pitch off.

ULL is going to pull a UNO.

Why is it so hard for some of you to understand ULL has no chance if Robichaux pitches the 1st game.

I totally understand. It wasn't a hard decision for tony to make IMO.

Dickson has an era of 4.33 and has given up 61 free bases, now granted teams are only hitting.186 off him. With all that and the fact that SHSU is not a great hitting team, I don't see the Cajuns losing that game. Despite the Cajuns offensive numbers this year, they are still a team who can manufacture runs and don't sit back and rely on the 3 run home run

UNO's only chance to win that regional was get to the winner's bracket with the Sun Belt Pitcher of the Year. It didn't work out. So what? They weren't there to try to finish second.

I'm sure Robichaux would get pushed to Sunday if they lose Friday.

No doubt. But he would be pitching in the elimination game and not against LSU.

AP83 is absolutely right - this was a very easy decision for TR to make. ULL's only chance to win the regional is to beat LSU in the winner's bracket game, and then hope their pitching can hold up.

Wilson is going to pitch a gem, and our bats are going to eat Dickson up. I don't see why you guys don't root for the in-state team, that's what I'm always told.

I use to, until I saw the amount of hatred that comes from ULL fans. So now I say 'phuck em'

That's where my heckling got it's start thanks to that bird-man for USM Baseball. Moved from our seats down 1B to 3B because of that idiot. UNO relief pitcher started talking shite during the USM game after I mocked him for throwing a wild pitch in the bullpen.

He got so mad, his mom came down and got in my face and said "One day you will have kids and be more of an adult..."

if UL wins game 1 and loses game 2 to LSU, is that any different at all as losing game one and beating JSU in game 2. After 2 games you are still 1-1. why would you not want to have robicheaux that gives you a better chance against LSU as anybody else on the staff. It's a chance you have to take. Going for 100% in game one to have a sub par guy throwing against LSU almost does you no good. it's pretty simple IMO

Kind of seems like a positive reinforcement loop.

The entire UNO operation that year was clownshoes. Their coaches were talking shite to USM coaches and players. And they weren't even any good. They could hit, but they couldn't pitch. And they looked like circus if you hit one to the outfield.

No need trying to explain simple baseball logic and strategy to these guys. They are clowns. They will rag you no matter what.

The only thing we can do to shut them up is win this regional. Until then, they are mindless bullies on the playground. Losers that don't deserve the time of day.

Example, when I see one guy asking if LSU has to be beaten twice on Sunday to be eliminated, then I see that same guy shite-talking... I just sit there and laugh. He is fricking clueless when it comes to baseball regionals. Why bother explaining something like a pitching rotation to this dude?
