What I saw from that message board was the OP stating "they COULD beat LSU". So you really think that fans of a program should think they school never have a chance? Some LSU fans are so pathetic.

I think they can hope. There's a reason these things are played out on the field.
But comparing the two programs, I'd think that any expectation ULL fan has of beating LSU on the gridiron is certainly unrealistic. If that makes me pathetic, so be it.

When I was in 4th grade there was this 6th grader named Butch McFighter that had a girlfriend named Nancy Moistpants that I coveted. I waited until school was over, and having planned for weeks, attacked him from behind with all the ferocity my 62lb body could generate. He noted my presence with a dismissive chuckle, and proceeded to beat me within an inch of my life. My aspirations were dashed but I learned an important lesson. Unlike the guy who started that thread, the lesson stuck.

That same financial gap lies with Florida as well. We should have beat them and GA Southern did beat them. LSU is beatable. Not year in and year out, but we will likely never be a fixture on their schedule. An occassional visit to Tiger Stadium could yield surprising results if UL continues to improve as it is doing.

IMO, LSU should never even consider scheduling them until they abandon the silly attempt to label themselves anything other than, ULL. The obvious attempt to portray themselves as the flagship university is unseemly and an insult to the other schools in the University system.

Okay...I concede. But trust me, although I didn't state this in my initial comment, that is based on LSU coming out flat which we've seen many times. Hell, we came out flat against Ole Miss and that was a huge game at that point in the season.
