It would be stupid for us to waste our best arms for this one game at home when we have an away weekend series with a Dallas Baptist team that has made the tournament the last five years. Sweeping that series playing away, or even taking 2 out of 3, would likely be a better RPI bump vs a midweek game at home vs LSU.

There are some people here that think it's still the 90s or early 2000s and that in state schools save their best pitcher for LSU instead of trying to win their more meaningful weekend games (especially during conference play).

If we do, I hope it’s just an inning or two to get him a little experience vs a Top 5 team, then pull him and start him on Sunday vs Dallas Baptist. We need to move our Saturday up to Friday and our Sunday guy up, because our current Friday guy, Roman, has been way underwhelming.

And yes the whole college baseball world sees the #1-2 preseason team filled of future major leaguers getting 9 hits in two games against middle school teams people are taking notice of our slump. Does LSU suck?? No they’ll figure it out and cruise.
