I kind of like the fact that ULL's coach is talking a big game. At least this makes this NIT matchup somewhat interesting. Otherwise, it would be a snoozefest.

Which is EXACTLY why he's saying what he is saying. ULL won their league. They had aspirations for the NCAAT for two months, so the NIT is a big disappointment for them. Marlin has to try to do something to get his guys motivated to play and he's using the "no respect" card. I understand it.

At the end of the day, it's the NIT. No one really wants to be in the NIT. Yes, it's a nice step for the LSU program, but even Wade himself isn't jumping up and down because LSU made the NIT.

You didn't mean to, but you answered my question. And you have zero credibility as to the ability to predict what will or will not happen in the future.

ULL will never, EVER be on the level of LSU, dont kid yourself. We are cutting checks back that are more than half your REVENUE right now.

You are a complete tool: I am the one who clearly stated that the city/parish funds and maintains it, and I also clearly stated that the state built it (much like they did for the PMAC.)

What you falsely stated is that the the city owns it. They absolutely do not.....the university does. But for some reason your feeble mind can't comprehend that simple fact, lol.

What’s stopping the other schools from generating funds through their own athletic departments, or perhaps donors? Could it be winning? In the last 10yrs we have seen ULL football and basketball have successful seasons and fans still did not show up. Hell this year fans have not shown up to one of the best basketball teams the Cajuns have had, until this Wednesday of course.

I am so sick of hearing Cajun fans blame everything on LSU. Go get some fans, win some games, generate revenue, get donors and stop blaming LSU for your irrelevance.

Was it the state's fault that lsu could not support itself for damn near a century, so the tax payers had to do it? If it wasn't wrong then, for lsu, why is it so wrong now?

You definetly don't know UL fans very well: we are very much aware of how much damage we have inflicted on ourselves. Ask any of us about Ray Authenent, lol.

We also are the first to call out under-performing coaches, and any failures of our athletic admin. Ask any UL fan about Scott Farmer, lol.

Asolutely priceless. Not sure what he's hoping to accomplish by saying all this, but I don't think it's the smartest stuff to go public with.

You got skulldragged by the last place team in the SEC this year bub, when you had all your players too, so don't try that one. So when you are taking shots best look at your own house.

I am not sure what's your point. You many not want to go there. If you compare the demographics of Baton Rouge to Lafayette, you may be for a rude awakening.

No one is blaming LSU for everything. Our school has had its own share of knuckleheads running the show. But if you for one second think that LSU was never shown “favoritism” over other in-state schools politically in the past 80 years, you’re either A) in denial or B) straight-up delusional.

I live in Lafayette and there is truth to all of the above. However, UL die hards act like liberals. There is always somebody to blame for their shortcomings.

What does LSU showing political favoritism have to with anything? What is LSU showing ULM political favoritism or something?

But you are missing the main point: as an avid and totally dedicated UL fan I can say without hesitation that we are far harder on ourselves than anyone else. And it is not even close.
