Stupid quote considering both teams made the world series in 2001.

Yet here you are still crying. FFS. You're the one that makes US look like the insecure ones. You're outing yourself. Stop.

Crying about what? I’m in most all of the game threads. I’m just discussing what is currently being discussed in this thread.

What do you want to talk about? Hurd? Crews and Morgan? Players falling down in the bass paths?

The Cajuns needed the RPI boost. You’re talking as if this was a 5-10 team in conference that had nothing to play for. Maybe in 2019 that was true.

2000, point is the same. That Cajun team wanted to get back to Omaha real bad and LSU was who we had to beat. You just can’t stand that we don’t roll over for you like some other schools in this state.

Thanks for the RPI boost tonight!

I’d actually like to talk about why the home team struggled to catch easy fly outs at their park. That was crazy!

They acted like a bunch of assclowns that entire weekend. But they sure showed Matt Heath. They beaned him in the back after he homered his previous at bat. Didn’t matter that LSU smoked them twice to win the regional. The Cajuns went back home with their chests puffed out because they got to throw at some LSU batters.

Leah Vann

Javen Coleman said he threw mostly fastballs tonight.

“I was really excited to be out there and contribute to my team… I tried to be as possible (coming back)— trying to do what I can to take it one step at a time. I wouldn't necessarily say there's one point in time where I knew was possible to come back. I was always believing in myself and with the coaches I had they've always believed in me, so it also helped me a lot.” #LSU
Edit: "I was trying to be as enthusiastic as possible..."

Glen West Twitter
Jay Johnson on Javen Coleman: “Huge development for us. The story is him, having that surgery and coming back in just over a year. I’ve never seen that before.”

Leah Vannn
Brady Neal— “he’ll travel with us, saw him running today.” But not sure if he will play.

Gavin Dugas— took ground balls today, will travel, not sure if he will play

Nate Ackenhausen threw a bullpen yesterday & felt good today.

Paxton Kling took batting practice— won’t be available this weekend, closer than expected

No update on Garrett Edwards or Chase Shores #LSU

Jay Johnson on Javen Coleman possibly pitching this weekend: “I would think so— we are closely monitoring how he responds to tonight.”
Obviously won’t extend much, but an option. #LSU

Don't get it twisted. I'll be straight up. I don't root for ANY other school but LSU. Not even other in state schools. That includes UL. But FFS, some of us put their insecurities on display with this "Lafayette" and "little brother" horse shite. "They changed their name and didn't get on their knees in front of us and kiss the ring." STFU with all that. We are the flagship. We know it and UL knows it. Stop acting like benevolent dictators. It's embarrassing.

Nope. You’re right.

And that’s exactly it. We support our school. And we don’t owe any other in-state school anything. And that includes LSU.

Wally Pontiff said it best when LSU and ULL met in the 2002 NCAA regionals. “We were playing to try and make it to Omaha. They were playing to try and beat LSU.” Will Wade learned in 36 hours what those of us that live here have known for a while. Those are some bitter and jealous dudes across the Atchafalaya.

Right. Because who wants to go to Omaha? Get out of here with that nonsense.

Also, Will Wade wasn’t here when Johnny Jones didn’t answer our phone calls to scrimmage or play for no apparent reason. McMahon doesn’t seem to have that problem.

Good stuff JML.

ETA: I think getting Dugas and Ack back, along with Kling and Coleman really helps us. I know it's a simple thought, but it can change a lot in the long run.

You owe us plenty. I know y’all tell your football recruits, “hey guys, come to Lafayette. It’s only 60 miles from LSU. Since we play our games on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, you can go watch LSU play on Saturdays. And if you show you are good enough, Brian Kelly might ask for you to join his team via the transfer portal.”

It’s gonna be ok man, just a midweek beatdown by your little bro, not a big deal.

Hopefully this loss wakes the team up, if they can lose a midweek game to an inferior opponent, what do you think the defending national champs can do this weekend.

And also beat the number 1 team in the nation when you play them. That's also good.

Don't think this did not have an effect on the game - at least to some degree. Time to take WWE out of college sports.

Here’s my two cents:

Good win for UL Lafayette. This game helps them much more than it would have helped LSU. Good luck for the rest of the season. I hope to see them again in late May.

On that same note, I obviously want LSU to win but in these midweek games, losing to an instate school isn’t the end of the world. Be happy for them. Let them have their moment and root for any Louisiana team in games not against LSU.

Why is state pride such a difficult concept for some people? You can be happy for a small Louisiana team and still be a diehard LSU fan. You’re not cheating on LSU if you pull for LA Tech to beat Ole Miss or for UL Lafayette to beat A&M. Have some pride in your state. It’s a damn fine place with great people. Be fricking happy.

Lagniappe: Lafayette is an awesome town. Loved my time there. Only thing I did not like was the old timer die hard Cajuns fans who feel the need to shite on all things LSU and or BR. That goes back to the state pride thing. Why can’t you love Lafayette and leave it at that. You don’t have to shite on another place to pump your place up.
