Marlin could have started it all with class, he could have just stuck with "I think we are better" before the game. But he had to call an entire basketball program out to build up his own team, a team that shouldn't need that kind of BS after a 27 win season.

First of all.. Bob Marlin was the one who was talking shite this week about why the game should have been played at ULL and thought, because of their record, they were a better team, made some comments about Will Wade..
This was probably his best team while at ULL.. He figured that with LSU in early stages of rebuilding.. Having a young coach and all, this would be his one chance to "prove" ULL had a better program than LSU, etc.. But at the end of the day, even at ULL's best, it's not good enough to beat LSU.. And talking about class. Technicals were called on both coaches.
Be realistic with yourself. ULL is in the Sun Belt, no matter what, it's not like they really ever play tough teams to prepare them for tougher opponents. All yall had to do was win the Sun Belt tournament and yall would have been in the NCAA tournament, but couldn't even get that done.. So now, yall had to play LSU in the NIT and now your basketball season is over.

It was good we played with heart, and showed some grit!!
Now as far as LSU it’s an embarrassment to this state. From how the fans conduct themselves, the coaches and what lengths they will go to show there A$$ during the game and post game.
It’s really pretty damn awful, shows no class!!

ULL played with heart. I admire how their players fought. It really sucks that their coach is such an a-hole.

Lafayette always has and always will have an inferiority complex and will always pretend they are bigger than what they are. Their fans are horrible.

Dude, Bob Marlin was the one showing "no class" coming into the game. If ULL fans were acting anything like they do when they come to Tiger Stadium, if there is any show of no class, I can guarantee you it's from the ULL fans.
Well, I don't know if it's all ULL fans but one of the last times we played them in football, I remember being in line at the gates with a big group of ULL fans, half of them had one of those "the price of a ticket $50, blah blah blah.. Watching ULL beat LSU in Death Valley.. priceless" shirts on and they were talking shite. They were talking with one another, but they were loud and was just making stupid comments about how they couldn't wait to see the LSU fans when they leave the stadium after the game, etc, etc. They were seriously talking as if they had a snowball's chance in hell.
But it seems like anytime LSU & ULL play each other in something, the ULL fans talk as if they will win, they get beat, LSU fans laugh at them and then they cry about how LSU doesn't have any class. And that's not an exaggeration.

Nah. They act an arse so they can get under LSU's skin and get on the schedule and maybe get some relevance. Just schedule the regular in-state schools we always do and we won't have to worry about their fans fighting the stands and coaches acting up.
