I think you are referring to weekday football action - we love discussing Tulane, Tech, ULL, ULM, Southern Miss on weekday games?!?!

And yes, I argue that Tulane has the best looking college football uniforms and Louisiana Tech is a top 10 in the nation - but I ain’t spewing hate.

so what?

the majority of people in LA that cheer for La Tech, or UL, or McNeese, or Nichols, etc are all cheering for LSU every Saturday and were all cheering on the Tigers in Omaha this past year.

Hell all of these smaller schools do their best to schedule their football games at times so that it doesn't conflict with LSU games b/c they know most people would rather watch LSU at home on their tv then go to the Nichols game or Southeastern game, but if LSU wasn't playign during their game then they'd attend. When they find out LSU-Alabama is a night game, then they do what they can to play their games at noon or 2:30. If that game is 2:30, then they are scheduling their games at night.

look at his posts, he’s pushing misinformation and advocating LSU take the lead on something he knows other schools won’t follow. He’s not doing that for any reason other than to hurt LSU.

Landry didnt take office until Jan, 2024

Most of that was under JBE

RobbBobb, you are missing the bigger picture. This is not a partisan politics issue. These athletic departments have been running at a deficit for many years under the Governors and State Legislatures of Louisiana from both sides of the aisle. OP produced numbers from the last three years from reports that are readily available on the internet.

These athletic departments will continue to run deficits and be supplemented by taxpayer funds due to the simple fact that they do not have the revenue streams available in order to be self-sufficient.

Looking at the issue from a macro level: The cream of the crop (Big 10, SEC and ACC) have 52 member institutions, yet only 11 out of 1100 athletic departments are self-sufficient, which means at best roughly 4/5 of the cream of the crop run on taxpayer supplemented funds. Once again, this is not a partisan politics issue, it is reality.

You would think Moscona would make a YouTube Short with Jeff about this.

LSU football’s surplus is so large it could fund ULL’s entire athletic department.

Good post and good objective data, but that lsu football surplus is needed to fund the rest of the athletic department. I don’t exactly remember the report but I believe it’s almost break even for all athletics.
