Got called out today from a UL-L fan. They sold out their 16,000 allotted tickets for the New Orleans Bowl. Said LSU fans are showing their true colors in not supporting the Tigers in the CFA. Told him coming off a NC appearance and not getting in a BCS bowl, the excitement level is justifiably not there. His response...Typical LSU fans. Oh, the perils of living in Lafayette...

I can 1000000% PROMISE you that ULL would not sell 8k tickets to Atlanta.

I would almost go out on a limb and say they wouldn't sell 15k to a championship game outside of Louisiana.

So you are telling me that people living in Lafayette were able to buy tickets for New Orleans.

Do they have to buy plane tickets? Hotels? Drive 9 hours?

There are other factors that go into ticket sales. Tell him to educate himself.

It still sucks that LSU fans won't show up for this game

That logic doesn't work. Believe me. But I think it's their 2nd? But it doesn't matter. They are "out-selling" LSU.

It's all in fun though. I work with many UL-L supporters and for the most part they are all cool. They just Love any chance at getting a rise out of LSU fans.

2 hour drive to game, go home after....easy

Flight to Atlanta or 9 hr drive, motels, food, tickets (N.O. Bowl tickets are real cheap compared to other bowls).....costs a good bit and during holidays.

Pretty easy to see the big picture....unless you are a U La La fan.

Of the 16000 people going how many can name 5 players on usl's team. Over/under set at 12.

If LSU were going to the Sugar Bowl, a 16,000 allotment would've been gone in 3 days.

They're new to this, so they don't know better than to be excited for going to a shitty bowl that just happens to be in a great city.

After all, this is their 2nd bowl of all time.

The funniest part of all this is that 16,000 dumbasses paid face value for new orleans bowl tickets.
