And LSU hung 8 earned runs on him in the first 5 innings. What we did tonight is honestly impressive. Great win!

He had a rough outing

I’m surprised he didn’t get pulled sooner

ETA
Didn’t mean to knock LSU’s performance
Kid didn’t have it tonight & LSU was able to capitalize

Kumar Rocker had a terrible night last night too. It happens. We're gonna have to let it play out to see if it was more LSU hitting or UK pitching tonight.

Yea but it wasnt just a bad outing by their starter. We hung 7 more runs on their bullpen!

Oral Robert’s scored 22 runs on us in game 1, 0 in game 2, and 3 in game 3. Baseball is a weird sport

Seemed to me like a healthy dose of both. Pitcher made a few mistakes, but bigger than that was our guys ability to capitalize on just about every damn one. Great outing at the plate by our guys!

I wasnt able to watch much of the Vanderbilt series and I couldn’t tune in until around the 7th today. But that being said in the Tennessee and State games we had a shite ton of opportunities and a shite ton of mistake pitches that we could’ve capitalized on and just didn’t. Seems like that changed tonight.

I’m not ready to say that this team has turned the corner just yet but it definitely seems like improvements have been made.

Trailing by a lot, they probably went to their weakest BP guys so as not to waste good pitching.

I didn’t know anything about him coming into last night, but I wasn’t surprised.
His fastball was 90 mph, flat, he didn’t locate it well, and in the early innings he used it way too often.

Our team has proven to everyone we can absolutely crush crappy to average pitching.
It just sucks that apparently the drop off is extremely steep when pitching gets good.

Well, we are one third of the way through the conference slate, and thats like the first game we have hit in. Take whatever sample size you would like, but you already have a decent sample to go on.

Downvote away.

Teams improve over the course of the season. Has LSU started to turn a corner? Did the UK pitcher have an off night? We won't know that until we see what the LSU hitters do in the coming games and what the UK pitcher does in his next couple of outings. As others have said, it was probably a little of both. I doubt anyone is expecting LSU to score 15 runs again this weekend.
