I got in a fight with one after the game, however I will admit I should've walked away from it. Alcohol and being pissed off is a bad combo.

Leaving the game I had a UGA student chirping in my ear about 6 inches away from my face about how we suck etc. I told him to walk away and he pushed my arm relatively softly. I told him not to touch me and he says "what ya gonna do get that ugly bitch to beat me up?" talking about some girl I barely knew next to me, then he pushed my arm softly again. Without hesitation I hit him in the jaw. He went down then got up and speared me into the street where short rabbit jabs were exchanged before it getting broken up by fans from both fanbases. I just got up and kept walking like nothing happened. He was pulled in the opposite direction.

I overheard them saying they flew in from Jersey for this game. I wanted to tell them, "I hope your plane crashes on the way home."

Be glad you didn't say this verbally, I told this to 2 couples at the 1999 Auburn game, and their private plane crashed.

I'm fine with that. Someone needs to keep these punks in check.

talk shite all you want and I won't react physically, but you touch me, especially after I let you know not to and you deserve to be put in line. It was childish of me, but I don't know many people my age in that situation who would've reacted any differently.

I probably would have done the same thing, especially being fueled by booze.

One dude was in everyones face on the lower west side amongst 50-1 odds. Not too bright. He was looking for cop protection when he realized how stupid he was being. Other than that, which happens everywhere, they were pretty good to me.

The UGA fans seemed fine overall. However, midway through the fourth quarter, one Georgia student walked halfway down section 637 in the EU and unfurled a Confederate Flag with the Georgia logo on it. He then waived it in the faces of the LSU fans as he ascended the stairs, including placing it directly in the face of an african american woman and her 13 year old son sitting in the aisle seats. It was something no one should be subjected to anywhere, much less inside Tiger Stadium, and was one of the most classless acts I have ever witnessed.

He should have just stopped at waving it at LSU fans. Didn't need to be classless with the other stuff.

But OMG, I'm so f'ing tired of all you little candy arse libs being offended by a Confederate flag. Get a life and get over it. BTW, you're either an American or you're not. All that "Hyphenated-American" BS makes me what to , especially when it comes out of the mouth of a Caucasian lib....

I personally would like to know how the UGA fans felt about the game and tailgating. As I was walking to the place I tailgate I passed by the Xtreme tailgaters tailgate. If you have ever seen them you know what I'm talking about. Anway I noticed that not far from them they had a Georgia Dawg pound set up. It had three tents chairs everywhere but guess what it was empty because they were all down all the LSU Xtreme tailgaters tailgate. I just thought that was funny. You know they had the time of their lives. A combination of tailgating LSU style and winning had to be a kick arse time for them.

At the 2005 SECCG not so great.

+2. Especially when I almost got into a fight with a group who were standing and clapping when JaMarcus got hurt. On Saturday, only thing I saw was one guy walking out of the game silently with a pre-printed sign that said "Cajuns eat dog turds". It wasn't even funny so I chalked it up to being that group's wingnut.

All and all it sounds like LSU and Georgia fans were cordial to each other. Hopefully, the favor can be returned next year in Athens.

Agree 100%! After the 2005 SECCG, I remember the Katrina comments and such. But the Tennessee fans were not much better prior to the SECCG last year.

The Georgia fans were great. No complaints there. We were beat by a better team so I think the LSU fans took it well too. I certainly did, and congratulated many of the UGA fans on my way out of the stadium.

As an aside, I'll tell anyone interested in listening that congratulating the other team’s fans is a great way to soothe the pain of a loss. Works wonders for me.

These are stupid. All schools have assholes. Sometimes you avoid them sometimes you dont. Most loud mouths are geeks who never played a down of football. I guess it is too much to ask to enjoy a game, have a few beers, hook up late night and wait till next week.

The only thing that bothered me about the UGA fans sitting behind us was during the national anthem when they completely ignored it and kept talking loud enough to make it difficult to hear the band (this was in the east upper). Other than that there was 1 UGA fan being obnoxious but the other UGA fans kept apologizing to the LSU fans for his behavior. We're used to obnoxious visiting fans now and then, so it doesn't bother us. Good luck to UGA vs Florida - I hope they pull it out - I can't stand Urban Meyer.

About time one of our clueless immature geeks set one of their clueless geeks straight!

Our clueless geek is a lot richer for that experience--becoming mature is a slow process for some.

So, let me get this right, you're either American or not, but it seems you're fine with waving the Confederate flag, which is at its most basic form the battle flag of military forces that fought against the US Army and Navy?

I get what you're saying, and I'm certainly not a lib, but think about what you're saying.
