Damn I thought Clayton would be a stud in the NFL
His rookie season was quite accomplished. I think he had over 80 catches for 1100 yards. Never did much after that....

That crowd on the ramp was epic. Hey Baby song, awesome.

That was before our fan base was spoiled and whining.

It was a great game like all SEC home games.

The fans are spoiled. A decade of winning will do that. Leave at the half to beat the traffic, get some dinner, or go partying
so true...............

LSU goes on to get even better over the course of the season, which is something I don't see anymore.
And you can thank the coaching for that..............

I was in the student section. It was insane when green made that catch. Tiger stadium was on a different level that day.

It's still great today, but in contrast to just twelve years ago, so much at Tiger Stadium today seems programmed and superficial.
Yes!!!!! I agree. The newbies who came on board in the last several years don't understand this.
It did come from the heart and soul because that was before the corporate ticket explosion. It was 92,000 fans who all wanted to be there. Not 50,000 fans who want to be there with 50,000 other fans who were given a pair of tickets by a client and/or at the water cooler in the office on Thursday.

Freshman year. I was lucky enough to get a ticket from another friend. Amazing experience and still gives me goosebumps

Still have my stub.

the crowd shook it off and chanted L-S-U the ENTIRE TV timeout...
That game right there, more than any other, I think changed the culture of LSU to expect to win - fans, players, coaches, etc.
This is EXACTLY how I remember it.

I can watch that catch from Skyler everyday until I'm dead and gone. I went to my first ever LSU game vs ULM that year and it poured down during the game. Me and my brother thought everyone was going to take cover but the crowd stayed and cheered until the refs decided to delay the game.
After watching that 2003 team dominate ULM in the first game, I knew that year would be special because I didn't see a weakness anywhere on the field.

I barely remember that game, since I got so drunk. Was still out of power from Isabel, so had to watch at a bar. Woke up the next day, "pretty sure LSU won".

One of the greatest and loudest games in the history of the stadium.
I was a student at this time and the student section was electric.
My all time favorite game I have ever attended.
It put modern LSU football on the map and announced to the country that we had arrived.

I had season tickets in the SEZ and trust me we held our own too.
What's also interesting is that 2:30 kickoffs were also a focal point of media pundits that LSU wouldn't win. And the crowd did start off a little stale around kickoff. But the intensity and crowd level just kept growing and growing. UGA kicker - Bennett? - missed 3? FGs towards the SEZ. You could tell something was happening.
And through that whole struggle, UGA makes that miraculous 93 yard screen pass and after the "aww, wtf" moment, the crowd just erupted.
Then Devery takes the kickoff to midfield, the broken route to Skylar for the TD, Corey making the INT to seal it. Absolute greatness.
