UCLA fans stayed

Down by three scores in the second half. In heat and humidity most of them had never experienced. Plenty of them were older and not in the best of health too.
You pay your ticket, you can leave when you want or not show up at all. But don't give me any bullshite about having a great fan base because we're not.

I mean they were probably a good distance from their house no? What else were they going to do? I have no dog in the fight either as I didn’t leave early lol.

Have we talked about bringing Mike the Tiger back out on the field again yet too?

I would think the traveling component has a lot to do with that — and they were jacked and playing well until the 3rd quarter.
But yea, LSU like other schools has a problem keeping seats filled.

Where would they have gone? They came in by bus and were stuck there.

Most probably stayed in New Orleans
Why risk death on the streets of New Orleans when you can die of heat exhaustion in Death Valley

Arguably one of the nicer fan bases I’ve ever met. I would love to have them in the SEC compared with other SEC fan bases that are nowhere near as friendly as the UCLA fans were yesterday.

I'm curious how many fans that are complaining about fans being at the game were actually at the game. I bet it's not many at all.

The ones sitting in section 302 where the heat index was 100+ bailed along with everyone else. Your virtue signaling is tiresome.

So tired of this shite about yesterday. If you weren’t there in the sun, shut the frick up.
I’ve done my share of bitching about our fans leaving early. I always stay to the end. But yesterday was fricking different. The kids couldn’t handle it and I wasn’t going to be a shitty parent and force them to stay so the assholes watching from home would be happy with more butts in the seats. The east side concourses were filled with people hiding from the sun. I’ve never seen anything like.

LSU still averages selling 100,000 tickets per game (6th in the nation last year), so that is a lot of financial support regardless of it they stay or even show up.
It will never be like it used to be. The stadium is larger than the demand now with every game basically being televised, more parking/tailgating rules/challenges than in the past, and the fan base is not has hungry for success like they were before the 3 NCs in the last 20+ years.
Tiger Stadium is only great occasionally these days, but it's still fun and seemingly entertaining to visitors even when it's average to us (especially the tailgating scene outside). However, BK's win against Bama in his first year was one of the best nights in Tiger Stadium history, so on nights like that, the fans/stadium are still the best out there. Herbstreet and Fowler gushed about how incredible it was. So it doesn't happen much these days, but nights like those keep the legend of Tiger Stadium alive.

I was there on the east side baw. No shade the entire game. At least the postgame traffic wasn't bad.
Concur with Paul.Allen about UCLA having nice fans.

What about this scenario?
Hypothetically, Im 35 and I get kicked out of TS at the start of the third quarter v LA Tech.
Where does my fandom rank with my early departure, hypothetically asking for a friend?
