Apparently chain link fences have more of a lasting effect on our opponents than we will ever know

It seems as if it was meant to be some kind of insult?

Exactly why do you think stadium personnel forced them to quit walking around with it?

Could it have been because it looked increadably racist and redneck to everyone but a few LSU fans?

I guess it has to do with LSU being cheap or something, not being on the same level as Nebraska

I guess he's never seen the New Alex Box.

And sorry that was me who posted as maximusalexander, my roomate didn't sign out last time he was on my computer.

By few you mean 8,000 right? Because everyone that was around me at the game knew what the sign meant and those who didn't asked and immediately understood...

yeah, but to anyone who read the quote in the paper, it was funny, and i'd bet most of the people who would watch the UC-Irvine-LSU baseball game, saw the quote.

To pacify the politically correct crowd like you who are too dumb to realize it was done in jest as a response to Gillespie's civil war comment a few days earlier.

Or it could have just been a smartass response to a smartass comment by a smartass opposing coach? Maybe you aren't aware but the comment caused quite a stir leading up to the series...

Yeah, because anything referring to the civil war is racist.

And you would be very wrong. C'mon man, the game was on ESPN. It wasn't the Cox 4 game of the week.

The ESPN Announcer's don't have newspapers? And I'm almost certain they mentioned the interview on the air...

C'mon man, they more than likely mentioned the quote during the telecast. Like I said, it was a hot topic of discussion during the series. It's the kind of thing that ESPN loves to report.

They didn't mention it. I have the series on DVD and they don't mention it once.

And the same goes for the UCI's coaches quote. I swear, everytime a white person mentions the Civil War now its seen as being a racial remark.
