From what I read, the family wanted to do something else. My question is that if this is true why not sell the store. Tyger Gifts is a landmark and I haven't been this upset since Pancho's closed. No not that new garbage they called Pancho's on Airline, the old one on Vets.

That Pancho's on Airline at Labarre closed awhile back.
There is a place called Tres Amigos on Wiliams Blvd in Kenner near the lake that is based on Panchos and is excellent.

Black & Gold Shop on Veterans with the adjoining Purple & Gold Shop.

Sad to see Tyger Gifts go. I've spent alot of money in that place over the years. Always preferred them over B&G.

One of my favorite stores. I could literally browse the relatively small space for hours and find multiple things I "needed"

Yep, so did I. Great place, will be missed.

The parents retired a couple years ago (I believe) and the daughter took it over. Guess she fricked it all up.

I was in town and swung by one night. They literally were locking the door to close (still had customers walking around inside)and I told the person through the door I was in from NC and had 200$ to blow on gear. I had no idea what time they closed. They walked away...
