Look, I love Tre Morgan and hope he has a great career, but I'm not sure I see Tony Gwynn as a valid comp. Gwynn routinely put up better batting averages in MLB than Morgan did against college competition. Gwynn was truly a generational hitting talent.

. He was up to at least 3 this season.

He did have 9 no decisions this year where he was gonna lose but got yanked before he got the loss or someone else bailed him out. If one elite pitched game on national tv gets you drafted high up then so be it, but he should grow well in the minors.

You’re correct, but many scouts have said he’s an anamoly (sp) and a generational talent when it comes to footwork and defense. While you’re correct with him lacking power, his defense could make up for it when it comes to his draft status, only time will tell.

They are only looking for you not to be a liability at first base defensively, the bat is much more important.

Y'all have illusions of grandeur regarding Morgan, and I can understand that. He was nowhere near being drafted on day 1.

Can you show me these nine no decisions where he was going to lose? He only gave up more than 4 earned runs in a game once all year (6) and that was against bama, a game LSU won 12-8.

I dont see nine losses

Pete Rose didn't have power, but sure got on base a lot. Morgan has a good eye at the plate. It will be interesting to see how he is used in the bigs.

He won't because he has no clue what he's talking about.
