Two different coaching staffs; Same defense; Whose to blame?

Two different coaching staff Chavis and Maleveto. The defense is the same.
Whatever be the star ratings of our recruiting class, on defense we have not recruited the right players.
Our D line can not put pressure, linebackers are weak and the defensive backfield is a mess.
This is not coaching....this has go to be the players.
Every time the running back got a touch he went for 6 yards. Plus the long passes.
If you throw 4 deep balls against the LSU secondary one will connect. Any QB can do it.
Its personnel.
We will have a long season. I will call the season a success if we go 8-4 or 8-5.
Lets have Loston and Mingo into the lineup and get them ready for 2010.

You've got to be kidding with this post. One game and you believe it's the same defense? Go learn football.

East Coast team? Well, I guess LSU is on the east coast of the Mississippi.
BTW ... I agree that the travel/late game time had more of an impact than we would like to believe.

Miles. its not personnel. Lets see, you bring in Pelini, who in his first game has a horrific performance, then the two headed monster last year that sucked, then Chavis who made UW look like the Patriots. So what remained constant during these changes? Miles. Who was taken out of the equation when the decline began? Saban.
Take a look at the offense. Talent everywhere. 7 points vs Auburn with Jimbo. run up the gut, run up the gut, run up the gut. Ok lets finally open it up. Same shite with Crowton. WHo is the constant? Miles.
Dinardo part 2.

i remember quite well pelini's defenses. THOSE BOYS HUSTLED TO THE BALL. THEY WERE ALL OVER THE PLACE. 9 WHITE AND GOLD JERSEYS ON THE BALL CARRIER

You obviously weren't here after Pelini's first 2-3 games in 2005. His name was Tepperlini then. We heard the same shite about him at first and he turned out okay.

Miles is a absolute BONEHEAD. he will do what ever it takes to establish the run even if the dline is not giving it to us and their secondary is. He will do it even if it means losing. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND!!!!

It doesn't seem like either O or D has any sense of "We" goals on this team. It's a lot of individual goals, but the united we stand, divided we fall LSU we knew and loved in 2003 seems to be MIA. It might be a good idea for coaching to begin working toward burning off any "me-first" mindset that might be settling in among players in the fires of practice and team discipline.

Dreaux said,

And, last year everyone was upset because we passed it too much. I think that it was good that we established the run, especially when you consider that JJ is only starting his 3rd game in a hostile environment.
It just didn't work.
