and i think no tv at all is a legit possibility. sure hope not.
No it's not. The SEC's new TV deal means every game is on TV except for each school's one PPV game.

I thought that just applied to every game in the SEC.....not non conference games that only involved one SEC team.
Hell there have been plenty of times since the contract when Miss St. played BFE St. University when it hasn't been on TV.....at least not on my TV. I suppose COX Sports could pick it up if that is the case.
I hope you are right

you're gonna have to link me to where it says that in the contract before i believe that.

Honestly though the more I think about it even without that part of the rule (which I'm not sure exists either) Cox Sports would be crazy not to pick the game up. That is if LSU lets it happen
Posted on 9/10/12 at 12:41 pm to LSU316
cox sports would be terrible. no one on campus would be able to watch the game.
eta: well i guess people who use dish could. i dont see too many of those around me though. its all directv.

Every league game and HOME games are guaranteed to be on the network or a partner.
Look at the next 2 weeks in the link below. Even the A&M games vs. a SWAC team is on FSN. Same thing with Akron and UT, Vandy and Presbetyrian. However, MSU vs. Troy is only on ESPN3 because the game is at Troy.

Thanks for that correction. Every SEC controlled game is guaranteed to be on TV.
Here's a link FWIW.

The ESPN app on Xbox like is ESPN 3 only. WatchESPN is separate from that and can't be viewed on Xbox
uhh...wut?
WatchESPN is literally ESPN3 in app form.
IDK about how it all works with xbox live but WatchESPN/ESPN3 are not "separate"

I can get espn3.com to work just fine on any pc at home or away, based on the fact that I'm on LUS Fiber. When at home, it automatically detects my network, when on the road I sign in using an email address that went to Lusfiber.net.
I thought that maybe something changed, but apparently it hasn't. When you install the WatchESPN app on a iphone, it asks if you're a member of the 6 networks that the app supports. Last time I tried this app, it did the same thing. If you attempt to access espn3.com from Safari, it insists that you download the app.
Is there a way to get JUST Espn3 using the WatchESPN app on an iphone?

There's six games involving SEC teams the week of the Towson game. One of those is Missouri at Central Florida, so, unless I'm mistaken, that one would fall under the C-USA TV contract. That would leave 5 games to be divided between CBS, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and SEC Network.
Did I do that right?

WatchESPN is the "umbrella" website/app for all ESPN streamed networks/channels. ESPN3 is "a" channel that is streamed only (no TV broadcast).
LINK
If your TV provider (not your ISP) is one of these: Bright House Networks, Comcast, Time Warner Cable, and Verizon FiOS TV, you can access ALL WatchESPN networks from whatever device supports (browser or app). You will be prompted to login to your TV provider's website...
If your ISP is on this list: LINK you will be able to watch ESPN3 (but not all of WatchESPN) in a browser. "Access to live programming on the ESPN3 channel of WatchESPN.com is available at no additional cost to fans with subscriptions to participating high speed internet service providers"
If your ISP is on this list: LINK you will be able to watch on XBOX Live. Your ISP must be on the list even with XBL.
So, the short, short list is TV providers, not ISPs. For example, I have AT&T U-verse, which is on the Affiliates list, so I can use WatchESPN.com to watch ESPN3 content on any browser on any device. But, I can also watch it on my Xbox because my ISP (AT&T U-verse) is on the Xbox ISP list.
Oh yeah, blackouts are enforced across all. Even if you are traveling, because the ISP has your "home address" and that is what is used to detect if it should be blacked out, not what network you are connected to. That's why when you are "at home", it can tell you are "on the network locally", but when you are connected to a remote network (even if it's on the list) it prompts you to "login" to your ISP and that determines your blackout.
Clear as mud, yet?
