I will not be sad if Plog isn’t back next year.

Is Brown really out for the year even if we make it to the postseason? Griffey broke his hamate bone in 1996. Broke it on June 19 and returned on July 16. Brown had surgery on April 21. Is it just an assumption he's done for the year or is that a for sure thing?

A Warren Morris moment would be sort of cool.

Based on the progress Grant Fontenot made, there isn’t a single pitcher I’d write off.

II guess Jay is saving Benge for the Georgia series. Kid never gets much of a chance to pitch.

If you go back to the end of last regular season, Fontenot had some promising innings that showed some growth. I feel like maybe we could get that kind of jump from Lach or Theo. I just don’t see that with Plog. I don’t see any upward trajectory there.

With all of the guys likely coming back, a few will be let go to make room for better from the portal. I could see him being one of those.

He and Williams' regression just makes no sense.

Rizy struggling is less surprising to me than Williams. His numbers are actually better this year than they were last year if we're being honest

2025
4.74 ERA, 24.2 IP, 22 H, 19 BBs, 29 Ks

2026
3.86 ERA, 18.2 IP, 16 H, 15 BBs, 26 Ks

Rizy has always been feast or famine. He's just so damn tall with a lot of moving parts to his mechanics. Really hard to command well with all that going on

The only song I remember from that era was All I do is win for Mahtook

Blake Dean had Fireman by Lil Wayne and then Rockstar by R. Kelly. Leon Landry (my favorite player as a middle schooler) had Uh Oh by Boosie.

They told a funny story on Mik'd up one day regarding Chad Jones' walk up song. It was some Lil Wayne song and the stadium staff had cut up the song so it was the clean version. For whatever reason, they didn't just use the clean version, but cut out the curse words of the explicit version.

What they didn't account for was the fact that they only cut out the curse words for the first 30 or so seconds, as that was all he needed as a batter. When he made his first appearance on the mound against Auburn, they played it the entire time he was warming up. So after the first 30 seconds, curse words just started flying out of the stadium speakers

For those interested in what played over the loudspeakers at Alex Box on a Sunday afternoon for 2 minutes in 2009.
