I agree.

Problem in 2012 was that it was the offense sucking in the UF game and then the defense wearing down and injuries.

This game was lost in every aspect of the game. LSU's defense and offense embarrassed themselves both at a player and even moreso at a coaching level.

True coaches don't celebrate escaping wins over mediocre teams. Compare this press conference with Miles press conference after beating Ole Miss in 2012 thanks to Beckhams punt return, "wow, what a game!"
don't forget Tennessee in 2010. wooooo hoooooooo just another day in the sec, he pulls a game out his a$$ against a horrible tenn. team, & he acts like he just won the nc. really sad

2011 LSU's body of work is up there with anyone's,

but we had no QB and a weak offense that relied on manhandling people. great CFB teams would own LSU like Bama did

we were bailed out by game-changing defensive/ST plays. when those didn't happen, our offense sucked

both title games that year should have taught you that. we were pitiful and relied on fluke-luck plays against UGA. when those didn't materialize on 1/9/12, we got DOMINATED

truly great teams do not get absolutely dominated. LSU was absolutely dominated on 1/9/12

Miles wants a mobile dual threat QB however he wsnts to run an offense built for the opposite of that. It is just mind bogglingly frustrating to watch.

If Dak came here, we would be screaming about how terrible he is too.

Yep. That was the game when they realized that Hill needed to get the ball. Hilliard, Ware, Ford were not getting it done at all.

Hopefully they see that with regards to Fournette. Sometimes he will run through 2 tackles, other times he will get stopped by one tackle. He is also tentative, but I chalk that up to part youth and part trying to find a hole by this shite offensive line.

He has that game breaker ability that the others don't. You may stop him 8-9 times for 3-4 yards, but he is going to bust a long one on you provided he has the carries. Hill was almost good for at least one a game.

With the way the OL is, you have to give it to him 18-20 times. Pound the rock until it breaks.

that there aren't too many great alternatives. we're stuck with les. we have to ride it out and hope he improves as a coach. we have to hope he puts his ego aside and adapts to the modern college game. his ego is killing our program

yep. This sucks. Terrible time to fall apart with TAMU on the way up and Ole Miss on the way up.

The only half way viable candidate is Fisher. And I doubt he take it on.

Whoever takes on the job next is almost starting in a hole since recruiting will inevitably fall apart if Les let's this team fall apart the next two years, making our division that much tougher.

Mett shouldve been the QB to start the yr in 2011. We would have 2 NC if we did that IMHO but thats a different convo all together.

Yes we run the pro style offense with a pro style qb(metts) and spread the field with Landry and Obj and watch hill run havoc because we spread the defense. It worked so we go back to les style if it works let's not do that again. Just sucks

well jennings is a true sophomore who obviously isn't ready. harris will be just as bad if he has to start. i'm not blaming them

the QB issue is the consistent failure of the staff to identify, recruit, and develop high school QBs. miles is 0-fer here at LSU

jennings should be a RS Frosh getting mop up duty and harris should be redshirting entirely this year. they are being forced to play due to absolute failure at our staff identifying, recruiting, and developing the QB position

2011's team became beatable after the lineup switch following 9-6. Arkansas was up 14-0, the. Got Honey Badgered. UGA was dominating, then got Honey Badgered. Bama didn't get Badgered.

I truly believe Miles talks to the ghost of Chuck Noll before every game to get his offensive gameplan.

Why are they up? They run offenses that fit there personnel. We got skill players get them in space right wrong les plays smash mouth football.

He is 0fer bc he recruits guys who have no business running the offense he wants to run. He should only target guys like Mett if he offensive philosophy is set in stone.

How many wins does miles have in last ten years

How many for spurrier

Les built and sustained the nAtions most consistent program

1st off, Les took over a pre-built team and it amazes me how idiotic fans want to claim he built something here. No, he took over a top tier program and road the wave.

Spurrier took over a dumpster fire that was mediocre at best and turned them into a perennial contender for the SEC East title despite half the talent available to him that LSU has afforded Miles. Stop being morons.

This is hilarious. We've been out of the title hunt in all but 2 seasons before November. We lost it in the 2nd week of 2005, early in 2006, in week 6 of 2008, early in 2009, early in 2010, no shot in 2012, and last year the Ole Miss game ruined any title shot.

In the end, 2 years in 10 that LSU is in a conference title hunt past the end of October is not impressive.

I understand their thinking up to this point. If I'm one of the coaches, however, I would see the writing on the wall with Jennings and this team - we are headed for 3-5 losses easily.

I'm sorry to say it, but this season is probably fricked. Put in Harris, who is clearly more talented, and start the learning process. Get the growing pains in during the season when it doesn't matter. Come back an improved team in 2015.

this thread should really bring out the rantards

everyone knew this season would be a down year because we're so young. that doesn't stop the idiots from screaming for Miles' head when we lose to a good team though

I wish it were that simple. Ole Miss and TAMU are out-recruiting us in the trenches and their players seem to be developing better too.

That's a whole different thread and conversation. WE haven't been able to develop players consistently since Saban's recruits left.

Listen, there's a lot of merit to what you're saying - I'm not disagreeing with you entirely. I'll just leave it at that
