That kind of stupid question sounds like one of the hypothetical questions about health care that the democrates would come up with to support their aggenda
True or False: we need health care reform

I always thought the fourth down plays vs florida were more exectuion and toughness than luck, in fact, no luck, whatsoever was involved in that. If I remember correctly, LSU ran the same play on each one of those fourth down attempts, which was also the same play they ran that lost them the Kentucky game. In one game, they executed, one game they didn't.

You forget, Miles doesn't call the offense, and I've always had a problem with the way that OC(Crowton?) calls plays, sometimes it seems to lack rhyme or reason, going five wides when it should be powerful, smashmouth football.

The deep ball against Auburn was the OC's and Flynn's call.

Some of you guys seem to forget how tough the SEC is, considering you guys play in it every week, that baffles me. Even a team as good as Florida's last two title teams can't go the whole year unscathed. Its damn near impossible to bring a maximum intensity level to every game, especially when a Troy sits smack in the middle of an SEC schedule.
Les Miles is a good coach, and is a good fit for a program that stresses physical play. LSU's problem last year wasn't Les Miles, it was a interception happy quarterback situation and a shaky secondary. The year before, injuries on the ever so talented d line crippled the front four, is that the fault of the head coach? Should he tone down the brutal practices that get them ready for those 4th and 1's against Florida?

The SEC is too good to avoid hiccups or close games, LSU is in fine shape and in good hands. You guys are a premier program who had one down year. When 8-5 is your down year, and you had three 11+ win seasons, you got something good going.

What are you guys complaining about? Remember Gerry DiNardo? I do!

Explain to me how I am dumb? LSU lost 5 games last year, and they were a fart away from losing 3 more. They could have easily lost 8. What would you all you smart, bright, intelligent guys be saying then?

Auburn W 26-21

thank God for a heroic TD pass by J. Lee or we'd lose this game.

South Carolina W 24-17

Held on this win this game

Troy W 40-31

A miracle 2nd half gave us this win.

B/C of "LUCK", LSU won these games. Again if you can't admit that you are a LSU "HOMER"

What b/c I say something negative about Les Miles, it makes me a Sabannist?

Here are some interesting stats to support your claim about coaching - especially on D.

It is fact and you can go look it up for yourself. In the SEC we have given-up as follows in NOVEMBER. We could say our offense was better therefore, our defense had more cushion to play with, but those games were typically close ones. It is not worth looking at bowl games due to timing with respect to rest:

2006 - 8 ppg more given-up (21 ppg compared to season avg in SEC 13)
2007 - 8 ppg more given-up (28 ppg compared to 20 ppg)
2008 - 6 ppg more given-up (30 compared to 24 ppg)

I think a lot of people fail to realize that the difference between good and bad teams is not that wide. Granted yes there are some teams that suck and others that are awesome. But when you get down to it the good teams make the plays in the 4th qtr.

To play the "What if" game is silly. you can do that with any National Champion. What about LSU in 2003. What if they lost that game in Oxford? How's Saban looked at now? Is he that great? Does the media love him as much?

What about Tennessee in 1998. What if UT misses that FG at the end of the game against Syracuse? Then what? Would Fulmer have been gone much sooner?

This list can go on forever.

If we win the Bama and Arkansas games last year we he would have had 4 straight top ten finishes. Those games were there for the taking and we didn't do it.

Agree. it was a D and will be a D issue until Chavis gets it right. I have FAITH he will. It may not be this year though.

so was bama lucky to beat us last year.trust me even with a great team football team games are hard to win esp. in the sec.it does take a little luck, but that doesnt mean your a bad team or coach.

Every team in the history of college football that wins a NC with a loss is lucky. Also every undefeated NC typically has a game where they needed luck to win.
