That nothing you said mattered

Like Aranda will be a HC one day.

It’s the natural progression of a coaching career.

Just because he hasn’t interviewed yet doesn’t mean it won’t happen.

People are just telling themselves what they want to hear, because at some point Aranda will be HC somewhere.

I'd take him right now over O...if he'd fire CSE and hire an experienced and respected OC and leave him the hell alone to do this thing.

He’s already basically the glue keeping us relevant.

Many don't get this. And its not in the sense of "hey this guy would be a great head coach" but rather "without this guy and his defense, this team isn't undefeated right now."

Way too far removed from anything resembling a dynasty right now. Let's win 10+ games and string a few top 5 recruiting classes together first. But as a DC, he certainly won't hurt our chances. And I actually don't see him becoming a HC. It's no secret he's a "man of few words". I don't think he wants to do all the pep talks and media interviews. He's already making money hand over fist as a DC, and he gets to keep the remainder of his hair. Now that won't keep the NFL from calling...

False. Our struggles on offense and having Bama to contend with each year will prevent this from ever happening. The only dynasty right now is wearing crimson and white, and I don't see that changing in the near future.

But frequently great head coaches were great coordinators, so he does have that correlation working in his favor

Your not wrong, but in my opinion, Aranda wont end up being a head coach. He doesn't seem to have the ra-ra "it-factor" (whatever the frick that is..) that a head coach needs to be successful. He seems like a passive, analytical, scheming type coach. You can sense it in his interviews.

He seems like hes content being one of the best DCs in the nation. Could also translate to NFL. Just my two cents.

Only Nick Saban could turn LSU into a dynasty and that ship sailed. If we win a national championship once every 10 to 15 years, I'll be elated but it won't be a dynasty.

So yall cried and melted over the O hire because he wasn't successful as a head coach and LSU should hire a proven winner...and now a DC who has never coached is acceptable

LSU is ranked 38th in total defense. Aranda makes lots of money and has lots of talent to work with. I like him a lot but it may not be time to label him a dynasty maker.

naw people bitched because he’d driven a program into the toilet already. I’d much rather an elite coordinator then a coach who has failed miserably in the past. Granted he’s doing a good job this year

I can't tell if he's head coach material. There's a lot to being a head coach these days!

You wish. He won't be around forever guys. Dudes gonna be in the NFL eventually.

If he does, I hope it's as the Saints DC. They need him desperately.

Wasn't LSU really good on D long before Aranda got there? I don't understand why everyone gives him so much credit.

So you’re saying DC doesn’t matter? If so...does OC matter?

When we had Pellini and Chavis we were

When we had Mallory/Peveto and Steele we were not.

Plus we also had a lot more talent than we’ve had recently.
