Is traffic less if you wait till the end of the game or is it worse right around halftime?

I heard if you ride a bike to the game you have no traffic

After the game traffic is a nightmare though. They need to open more contraflow and switch some of those lights to green to get people onto the interstate quicker

Everyone always thinks if the leave at halftime they can beat the traffic. So everyone leaves at halftime and the traffic is terrible up until contraflow starts where it gets impossible to get anywhere. So if you leave at half you might still stand a chance, but when contraflow starts you're fricked

Answer is easy! Go to the full game. Hang out a few minutes at your seats after the game and let the tunnels clear out. Head back to your tailgate spot and eat some food and drink some water for about an hour. Then hit the roads. Extend your day and let everything clear out first.

If you wait till the end of the game, you get caught up in the traffic directing clusterfruck.

Might as well chill at a tailgate for 2 more hours

People trying to fricking turn left at college or doing a motherfricking u-turn after college can go frick themselves. Seriously.

Sat at a dead stop for 20 minutes, twice because morons don't understand contraflow.

Stayed til the end. Depends on if you actually use the contraflow lane or not. I drove in the contraflow lane past at least 200 cars last night and got thumbs up from the cops along the way and yelled at by some idiot in a truck.
Not sure if I'm supposed to answer true or false based on the wording of your question though.

Traffic last night wasn’t bad at all. I was parked by the track and made it down Nicholson to government basically like there was no game. I left with 3 minutes to go in the 4th.

Traffic isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. People try to park in certain lots for tailgating reasons but then get angry when they have to detour the city to get home b/c of contra flow. Park where it’s most convenient to get out of if you are concerned about traffic or don’t bitch.

True last night.

We stayed til the end and traffic was not bad at all. Parked by the lake/boat launch and the only traffic was Stanford up to the Perkins light.

Very false for close SEC games like Florida 2016.

Exactly this, plan your parking according to traffic flow.

We have to head east to get home so we park either in front of walk ons or southgate tower apartments.

By the time we get back to the car, we hang a left out the lot onto 30 and its smooth sailing for the most part.

Before I learned better, I used to just find the closest spot and end up stuck going toward the ms river bridge then having to come all the way back

Wouldn't know. Never left at halftime. Never leave til clock says 0. I'm at my house 20 minutes after game ends. 25 minutes tops.

Last night I was delayed a few minutes by an idiot who drove his vehicle down the middle of the road very slowly who obviously didn't know how to drive.

For last two games, I’ve stayed till the end. Traffic down Highland going toward downtown has been very light!

You’re not saving time doing all this BS, you’re just not sitting in traffic. People want to get home quicker.
